Moore is a political commentator on acid. His appeal lies more in the presentation than in the content, that's all. It is ridiculous, but no more so than about half the elections in the history of this country.

We had one. We can do a thousand more. People will never be satisfied until they come to some kooky conclusion that alien death rays from outer space, built in George Bush's Texas Ranch, blew up the World Trade Centers so he could become dictator of the North American Union.

But what would it hurt to do another one? Surely they don't cost all that much and if a significant number of people voice support for another investigation it could be considered a legitimate usage of government money. Make sure that everyone who trashed the original investigations as being corrupt signs off on the new investigation team before they begin their research and make sure that everyone is willing to listen to their results.

Not true. We did have a proper investigation. The funding for this was $11 million, and that doesn't include the expenses incurred by witness, etc. It was bi-partisan, with five Republicans and five Democrats. There was almost zero dissent from anyone in authority on the final 10 selected for the commission. It was selected by the White House (and administration) and the Congress. Both parties had tremendous input on the selections.

There was resistance to compliance with certain requests of the Commission on both sides. The White House resisted turning over certain information and providing certain personnel for testimony because of security reasons. The past administration official called to testify we less than cooperative also, with one going so far as to remove and destroy documents from the National Archive.

Much of the information withheld will probably come out in time. And history will have to be the judge on whether it was indeed appropriate to withhold it. Information that was purposely destroyed, we will never know. Regardless, much of it was water under the bridge at that point.

More time has passed, and we can have investigations until eternity passes and there will be people who are never satisfied with the findings. You will never find a point in time where everyone will have a collective sigh and say, "There! I'm confident with the accuracy and completeness of the investigation and it's results."

It just ain't gonna happen! We-The-People need to be vigilant and educated. Unfortunately, when more people are interested in what's happening with Paris Hilton than with the G-8 summit, or the Immigration bill, or who their senators are and what their voting records are, it just ain't gonna happen, either!

Until another 9/11 happens... but then the screaming and finger-pointing will start all over. People need to learn the truth, but also question the source of the information and the motives behind it.

These are educated people implementing their right to speak out. Just because you become a famous doesn't mean you give up your right to speak up!

Don't you think that Bush might have seen it as just a tad risky to fly planes into buildings in NY city in broad daylight. All the eyewitnesses on the ground. All the pictures and video footage from private citizens let alone the media of the crashes. The phone calls from the planes from passengers to friends and family?

This was a hijacking plain and simple. A lot of good people died and I don't think this is a good place to conjure up conspiracy theories.

I disagree with our current administration about 95% of the time but they didn't have anything to do with 911. I sure they were shocked and horrified just like all of us.

Actually, two were mustered (out of a total of 14 on active alert at the time). None of them reached the planes in question in time to react. This is partly because, as you just said, the planes' transponders were turned off and so civilian air traffic control was forced to locate them by hand among almost five thousand similar planes in very crowded airspace. And this is despite the fact that airplane intercepts were not routine even in the case of confirmed hijackings.

I don't know why you think an airplane would be easier to find with its transponder turned off. This is basically the only means air traffic control has of identifying where a plane is at any time short of the ludicrously inefficient hand-check system they were forced to resort to.

And even if none of this were true, at worst it would point to managerial incompetence, not deliberate orchestration on the part of the government.

so Now ill answer you again lets see if you delete this post as well. what your have said is not entirely inaccurate as you pose.The part of things that seem a bit grey for you are as Follows, While FDR i dont believe in MY OPINION "Allowed" the attacks to happen. He Just as Presidents in todays times was CERTAINLY aware of something that was about to happen to the pacific fleet.

Just Like Clinton after Him,and the GW Bush again after Clinton.FDR also had intelligence that was handed to him before the attack. To lay the Blame on any of these men as to say they knew about the attacks and let them happen would be a grievous error on our part


while they Did have foreknowledge of some sort of attack being possible. None of the instances were concrete though.
these men may have known something was coming....but to combat all aspects of this information would have been near to impossible

He was only speaking of the lunatics claiming that FDR had SPECIFIC foreknowledge that an attack was pending for Pearl Harbor specifically, in December specifically, in the FIRST part of December specifically, possibly right down to the date and hour.

Your observations are solid, and historically accurate. USMC is not revising, only stating that he doesn't buy into the extreme conspiratorial claims of FDR's ulterior motives.
