Pure BS? I haven't read it myself, but I can't conceive of it being pure bs. Kierkegaard is the father of existentialism, and Fear and Trembling was written in order to express the anxiety we all face when we confront our limitless freedom. Philosophy books tend to seem to be pure bs to the naked eye, but if you examine it carefully, the tidbits of text are mind blowingly profound and enlightening.

Have you read Diary of A Seducer by Kierkegaard?
