Windows Vista goes on sale

BOSTON (Reuters) -- Amazon.com has started taking early orders for Microsoft's long-delayed Windows Vista operating system, offering versions of the product from $100 to $399.
The retailer's Web site said the software will be available on Jan. 30, and an Amazon (http://money.cnn.com/quote/quote.html?symb=AMZN) (Charts (http://money.cnn.com/quote/chart/chart.html?symb=AMZN)) spokesman said on Tuesday the date was an estimate based on informal conversations with Microsoft and others in the computer industry.


Are you going to upgrade to Vista? I dont think im going to do it. Not unless it has something more advanced then my XP which works just fine for me.

My Windows XP does everything I could need, and then some. So unless Vista also rubs my back while I surf the net then I think I'll stick to what I have.

That's about the only thing that would make me spend money on another OS.
XP works just fine for me.
