Doing the job they were elected to do, or the job that they think they have acquired, namely legislating for special interest groups for personal gain? No to the first, definitely yes, to the second.

Congress always has a bad approval rating as a whole. It is more telling to look at polls for every individual member's popularity in their home districts.

But THIS congress has the lowest approval rating of any in history. Its also done the least of any in history. I should check to see if they gave themselves the highest pay increase in history too. I bet they would win

Well I have to say my view of the republicans in congress is increased by the fact they shot down that billions of dollars government socialist take over. My view of congress is poor since they even considered such a bill.

LOL! My view of Congress was poor LONG before this issue came up. I think the abysmal "approval" rating is way to generous, is all..

I also agree, my regard of congressional Republicans did take an upward tick. I've been conducting a "withholding protest" with the NRCC. Every time they call looking for a donation, or send me a poll via e-mail, they get an earful of how I won't support them until they start acting truer to conservative principals. I actually donated today.... But I still gave them a very stern earful...
