Giuliani - Good or bad move?

In my opinion, he just shot himself in the foot. If Giuliani would stop making himself seem as power hungry as Bush he would almost surely be my vote for the next President. However, his propensity towards a police state and his backing of this abhorrent war has me baffled.

He is desperately trying to pander to the establishment Right and be seen as a true Republican - which is what he needs to do to win the nomination, so this is a good move. The only reason he is doing so well right now is because of his perceived post-9/11 image. The pre-9/11 Giuliani couldn't be elected for anything anywhere. And, eventually, all the reasons for that will come out. There's no way he will be the Repub nominee.
