Yes, I understand why you like him. I find it very intriguing that he has revisited some of his positions vis a vis illegal immigration, particularly given that he is very much a globalist. If I am not mistaken he is a CFR member.
Maybe the tendency changed after 911.
I can't deny that the combination does make him stand out.

Very true. It would be kind of nice if once in a while we could actually see the "true intelligence" of our leaders--I wonder what kind of speeches each "modern-presidents" could have produced.

I remember being opposed at that time to nearly everything he represented ... yet I would still find myself sitting there nodding YES during his speeches from time to time -

In discussions or debates generally one would go on to tell WHY they think a former president was "an asshat". Helps the credibility.
