It's impossible to overstate how alarming the idea of NATO in Ukraine is to Russians.

NATO was created to counter and possibly rollback Russia.

By incorporating Ukraine NATO would move within striking distance of Russian cities like Kursk, Rostov and Smolensk.

In other words, NATO expansion would come close to matching the greatest extent of
German advance in the east in WWII.

There is already a war against Russia. It is not a shooting war, but an economic war. Russia is losing badly. I expect to see Putin step down rather soon unless he is able to convince the west to drop the sanctions.

It was economics, not military force, that caused the breakup of the Soviet Union remember.
 
I think Purtin is safe. Our prime Minister Abbott was going to shirt front him but fail to act when he met him.

Russia still have reserves and controls the gas distribution to many European countries. It will survive.

NATO has the audacity to make a show of force after basically a Russian INVASION of Ukraine....and NATO is the aggressor??? Unbelievable.

Letting Russia steamroll old Soviet states is unacceptable, and must be confronted and stopped. Period.
