Sugar: The Bitter Truth

Werbung:
Sugar kills as much as tobacco. However, there is no such thing as second hand sugar exposure, and I don't favor government regulations limiting sugar consumption, beyond say reducing sugary food in public school lunches. Ultimately it's a matter of free choice. Sugar consumption needs to balanced with an active lifestyle, and I don't think a large percentage of western people exercise.

A lot of people with diabetes and other problems refuse to exercise. Of course, some have more legit excuses than others, say jobs where time schedules don't allow for physical activity. Nonetheless, they could make some time, even if it's a small amount.

Ever since I became aware of the type 2 diabetes plague, I have cut all my sugar measurements in half.

I now drink barely sweetened coffee and tea.

And I avoid all desserts that are sweet. Natural fruit desserts are my favorites now.

I used to have 3+ sugars in my drinks but I have now changed to none.
I do have a sweet tooth for biscuits and puddings - curse my sweet tooth.
