Where does Trump stand....

Dog is correct on this, IMHO I think what Trump is doing is long overdue. Now he was not my choice but he is growing on me.. except for twitter..

Yet you voted for him, defended him, and said to give him a chance. Yet now he was not your "choice". Just exactly what I Trump doing that is "long overdue"? Trying to destroy the freedom of press? There is a reason why the Framers put that in the Constitution, of course, you could care less about that.

BTW, Hitler, and every other despot, started out by destroying the free press.

"Let’s look at his argument. As a reminder, the First Amendment reads, in its entirety:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Yet here is what Trump claimed:

“One of the things I’m gonna do, and this is only gonna make it tougher for me, and I’ve never said this before, but one of the things I’m gonna do if I win… is I’m gonna open up our libel laws so when they write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. We’re gonna open up those libel laws.

“With me, they’re not protected, because I’m not like other people…We’re gonna open up those libel laws, folks, and we’re gonna have people sue you like you never get sued before.”

“I’m not like other people.” Actually, the United States Constitution says you are exactly like other people, because under the Constitution, we are all equal before the law. There is no Donald Trump Exception clause anywhere to be found. Even the Founding Fathers had to take their lumps from their critics."

FIRST..The press has destroyed itself, and yes I voted for him after a whole lot of soul searching. As of today i'm glad I did..

Then the press will pay for it. That does not excuse Trumps actions in attempting to violate the Constitution. But the, you still want to feed others your ********* by saying "Now he was not my choice but he is growing on me.. except for twitter.." when he was the one you defended before the election.

BTW, when do you think he will ever PROVE he is under a tax audit?

When do you think he will ever move his businesses back to the US as he is demanding others do?

Why do you support liars, crooks, and the immoral?

I almost didn't care what he would do because changing the paradigm of modern politics overrode all.
Hrc personified the cronie capitalism so beloved by the whigs and their bought mule lincoln.
But he's turning out pretty good anyway.
We get the gift of stacking the scotus, pivoting away from wedge issues that about killed the gop and watching the donkeys ride their party off the cliff following their black savior.
Remains to be seen if trump can bring the economy b ack from the dead but he will at least postpone the wake for a while.

I agree with your summary..You know, Every political campaign is defined by issues. Certainly, during this campaign droves of evangelicals turned out with the specific concern of the next Supreme Court appointment.

But I think those focused on specific issues were jumping on a bigger wave — the arrival on the scene of a “change the world personality.” The people have expressed their desire for a productive narcissistic interested not in incremental changes, but in igniting the nation, pulling it out of its status quo doldrums and moving it forward explosively into a new era of growth and achievement.

The public seems to have had enough of the status quo, enough of politicians showing up with a tool kit telling them what they intend to tweak. There is a sense that things can and should be much, much better and voters were ready for a dreamer who will settle for nothing less than greatness. I don't have a clue if that's Trump, but he has impressed me so far..

Yes, he has the personality and drive to want better and knows how to mobilize the citizens to force congress to just do it.
Trap must be beside himself over the new boss. Almost worth taking him off ignore. Almost.

While the lie about the "dead economy" will be repetitiously repeated by the idiot class like you, the growth of the economy since the Bush/Republican recession has been remarkable even though not perfect. Trump did not win the popular vote no matter how many lies he, and you, will tell about it. And "crony capitalism" is alive and well as can be seen by his appointees. Intelligent people, and those with morals, and values, do not trust Trump as he has shown he cannot be trusted (except by fools, and the blind) So, you, and Grumpy, will continue to kiss the ass of your new "god" to the bitter end not having the values to recognize the harm your "god" will do to the country:

I am not American. But what I read many Americans have gained nothing for the economy. Their wages have not gone up for years. This is why they voted for Trump .If he can cause wages to rise he will kept one of his promises.

Generally people vote for their wallet. The dems improved the wallets if the few and git reminded that won't do.

It wasn't the Dems that lowered the taxes for the wealthy, created greater numbers of loopholes for the wealthy, started the offshoring of jobs, created the housing crisis, created the recession, started the war on unions, or the middle class.

Whatever sounds like something a snowflake would say.. You know I'm right .. there is no denying what I posted.. As far as taxes go.. I'm for a flat tax..

No Grumpy, you post two articles that have nothing to do with who lowered taxes for the wealthy, and then claim you are "right"? Not only are you a fool, you are a lying fool trying to defend your own ignorance in voting for a con artist.
