Is there a point to the random facts about Israel? What does any of it have to do with the title? Is there some connection between aid to Israel and food stamps?

Or is this some kind of silly "Israel is the devil" sort of thread?

While each Israeli receives 14.000 a year from USA.

The United States gets far more in return for foreign aid than the dollars we spend on it.

Food stamps are charity at home, as well as a subsidy for food producers, packers, wholesalers, and retailers.

$14 million a day for 7 million people (assuming your figures are correct) makes $2 per day, or $730 per year, not $14,000. Most of that, of course, is military aid.

Sorry, but I'm afraid that the three trillion figure was arrived at by the same sort of math that came up with $14,000 by dividing $14 million a day among 7 million inhabitants and multiplying by 365.

We are so arrogant that we feel a need to "project influence (our ethnocentric culture), and power", into other regions. It is no wonder that other cultures resort to terrorism in an attempt to eject an invasive presence that conflicts with their culture. Not much different from what we did to the American Indian. If it was a foreign nation doing such to us, we would resort to terrorism also.

Our tax dollars that go to Israel do not give us the use of Israeli military bases, or any bases "worldwide". It just adds to the dreaded deficit.

We get a lot more from being a superpower than not being one... surely you can agree with that.
