7 lies (or delusions) of GOP ideologies in 2'47"

Werbung:
I know. . .most of you will call this "liberal lies!"
So, what's new?

But the facts are there:

Facts??? Hilarious.

Claim 1:
Tax cuts to the rich don't trickle down to the rest of us.

His argument:
Despite tax cuts under Reagan and Bush, the median hourly wage stagnated and dropped.

Real facts:
The Bush tax cuts shifted a greater percentage of all taxes onto the shoulders of the rich...and they cut taxes for everyone (even those who paid none to start with). Additionally, following the cuts, we saw solid GDP growth and job creation. What does the median hourly wage have to do with anything?

Claim 2:
High taxes on the rich don't hurt the economy

His argument:
Economy has grown faster between WWII and 1980 than it has since.

Real facts:
So what? Where is the actual evidence tax rates are the cause of this? I could just as easily claim we have a higher GDP with lower rates than with higher rates...but it doesn't actually prove anything...where is the proof? He offers none.

Claim 3:
If we shrink government we will create jobs

Real facts:
Who is arguing that job creation is directly related to the "size" of government and the number of people it employs? The real debate is over excess regulations etc.

Claim 4:
Cutting deficit is not more important than boosting the economy with government spending.

Real facts:
Typical Keynesian argument...yet the idea here is that government can spend money better and more efficiently than the private sector...who believes that is true?

Claim 5:
Medicare and Medicaid are not killing the budget

His argument:
We need to open Medicare to everyone

Real facts:
This is a veiled argument for a lack of private healthcare.

Claim 6:
SS is not a ponzi sheme

His argument:
It is solvent for 26 more years

Real facts:
Big deal, all ponzi schemes are solvent until they are not.

Claim 7:
It is not unfair that lower income Americans pay no income taxes.

Real facts:
If they don't want to pay anything, don't expect a free ride courtesy of everyone else.

You are merely repeating all the propaganda of the Right. Nothing new.

And I still believe you are wrong on all count. ;):)

I know. . .most of you will call this "liberal lies!"
So, what's new?

Your video is leftist propaganda, and in many cases his arguments don't actually present a clear causal link to his conclusion.

Why did I bother to respond if you were basically planning to stick your fingers in your ears and yell "la la la la" to any response?

But the facts are there:

And yet they were not presented in your video. If you logically follow through on what he is saying to make his case, it falls apart in a hurry.

Good job Big Rob.

I am glad you took the time to refute the midget fool Robert Reichhhhaaaaa...of the commie University of California at socialist Berkeley. When I listened to him I thought his arguments were ridiculous and easily refuted. But, was too lazy to do the job. Thanks for doing the job.

But once again, those on the left do not think logically. So, the little foolish commie midget is believed by many on the left. How can we ever find common ground with leftists when they chose to believe lies?

The common ground between conservative and liberal is the mess that people claim too dislike which is to say, Congress. There is only one way out of this so I hope the GOP keeps moving right before we become East China.

You mean. . . versus Republican propaganda?

That's fair enough!

Both sides offer their point of views, and the other side calls it "propaganda."

Okay! ;):)
