Pappa Duck took an interview with GQ mag and was being himself. Whsts the worst thst ciuld happen right ? Well he opined about homosexuals being illogical but thats not all. Seems he pointed out that blacjs were happier with (northern states) Jim Crow days. Frankly Im shocked the first salvo from the bleeding hearts was over the vaginas vs anus (anui ?). Well the channel has suspended him but its moot as they are all but done filming for the.coming year buthow will the bearded kin react ? And fans who make this the biggest cable show EVER ? Its a little like the issues fellow Dog the Bounty Hunter had a few yesrs ago and we know they found a way to get jim back on the air so I guess we know the conclusion but ut should be an interedting ride.

The Duck Dynasty Fiasco Says More About Our Bigotry Than Phil’s

Why is our go-to political strategy for beating our opponents to silence them? Why do we dismiss, rather than engage them?

This is an interesting article by Brandon Ambrosino who is gay and is reflecting on where the real intolerance and bigotry is coming from. Clearly, it is the wacko leftist who are the bigots and have no tolerance for others point of view and absolutely no respect for the 1st Amendment to the US Constitution.

The article is well worth reading and I do agree with nearly everything Mr. Ambrosino is saying. However, he does take a position that I disagree with and that, in my opinion, is false.

In the article Mr. Ambrosino states:

"It’s quite possible to throw one’s political support behind traditional, heterosexual marriage, and yet not be bigoted."

This is not the reality supporters of "traditional heterosexual marriage" are facing in our society today. The Lefts bigotry and intolerance does not allow anyone to stand up and support anything viewed as traditional or religious.

One only needs the reflect back on the whole Chick-fil-A fiasco to see the reality of the Lefts hatred and bigotry. Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy did not say anything at all about gays. He merely stated that the Company supports "traditional heterosexual marriage".

You can read Mr. Cathy's comments from this article at Hotair.com.

So, again, while I agree with Mr. Ambrosino's article, there is no sugar coating the Lefts hatred and bigotry and absolute intolerance, not only for those who disagree with the Left but, for those who the Left disagrees with as well.

Ted Cruz: ‘Dismayed’ by A&E

“If you believe in free speech or religious liberty, you should be deeply dismayed over the treatment of Phil Robertson,” Cruz wrote on his Facebook page. “Phil expressed his personal views and his own religious faith; for that, he was suspended from his job. In a free society, anyone is free to disagree with him—but the mainstream media should not behave as the thought police censoring the views with which they disagree.”

'Duck Dynasty': A&E warned Phil Robertson about speaking out too much

The scandal has turned into the kind of tempest network executives feared all along. A&E knew of Robertson's controversial views - expounded in videotaped sermons and elsewhere - before the show premiered in spring 2012, and warned him not to overshare on hot-button topics such as gay rights and race relations, according to a producer familiar with the situation. Phil and other family members also probably signed contracts containing "morals clauses" in which they promised to, among other things, avoid anything that would embarrass or bring shame to A&E or the brand. Such clauses are standard in the entertainment and sports industries.

EXCLUSIVE - 'Hung out to dry': Duck Dynasty star and family hit out at A&E for letting his controversial interview go public and for suspending him for homophobic comments

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson and his family believe they have been ‘hung out to dry’ by TV network A&E after he was suspended for homophobic comments made in a magazine interview, MailOnline can reveal.

Sources within the close-knit Louisiana clan say they are convinced A&E are manipulating the controversial situation to bring them – and particularly Robertson – back into line after Television executives grew tired of the family pushing their deeply-held, Christian beliefs.

They also think the network could have done something to stop the controversial GQ article being made public, because an A&E representative was present during the interview with patriarch, Roberston, 67.

Major Company Has ‘Removed Selected Products’ Over ‘Duck Dynasty’ Star’s Controversial Comments

Cracker Barrel reacted to the growing controversy around “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson’s comments on homosexuality by removing some products from their stores, the southern themed restaurant chain announced Friday.

Cracker Barrel is a popular restaurant down here. It's old southern family style theme attracts many families especially church crowds on Sundays.

Who are more likely to be offended by Cracker Barrel's decision to not support the 1st Amendment and follow the road of PC? Which will most likely affect Cracker Barrel's customer base?

Well, if you have any doubt just visit Cracker Barrel's FaceBook page and read the comments for clarification.

Did Congress pass a law that prevented him from speaking ? Did anyone prevent him speaking to GQ ? Nope. Am I missing some other incident ?
Short of the binding contract with A&E, it certainly could be argued that Mr. Robertson was discriminated against by his employer for religious beliefs.

Which is a violation of his civil rights.

However, as I posted above, that is not going to be the case here.
