"Since then, the hopes expressed by every Afghan I have encountered -- to be ruled by a responsive and respectful government run by educated people -- have been dashed."

Let's see if the Taliban has any luck, convincing the Afghans they're badly in-need of a faith-based government....you know, seeing-as-how it's worked (so well) for us.

As Bush's father created the environement for the Taleban to take over and wreck er er I mean rule Afghanistan don't you think they have had Bush style government for twenty years now?

Religious fundamentalists who love war and who did not get elected.

Sound familiar?

Maybe America should stop arming other countries.

Then they wouldn't use those arms to fight back and the US could romp to victory unopposed.

After all, who do these people think they are fighting back against a US invasion?
