Obama's 71% figure includes 97% of Democrats and 68% of independents...only the woeful pathetic bigots, known as Republicans, have a beef. While we're talking about woeful, look at the number for Republicans in Congress...looks like obstructionism isn't serving them too well

Truth be told, we conservatives who have what it takes to make it in any economy, don't give a rat's ass of the number of either party in power in Congress. Those of you who have to depend on government assistance, do.

bigot - a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

Sorry popeye, but it is you and yours who are the bigots. It is you and yours who are intolerant. It is you and yours who use the power of government to enforce your bigotry by any means possible up to and including thought police. It is you and yours who insist that your way is the only way even though you can not make rational arguments to support your positions.

If Obama's policies on the economy, i.e., a continuation of the Bush policy of big government statism, deficit spending, and government bailouts of failing industries, are the right thing to get us out of the recession, why haven't those same policies already started to work? Obama is not, after all, doing anything different from what Bush was doing, other than shifting the tax breaks from the wealthy to the poor.

If increasing spending while cutting taxes is the right thing to do, then we should be in an economic boom right now. If bailing out failing institutions is the right thing to do, then the economy should have started upward before Obama was even elected.

Your poll shows that most of the American people haven't been paying attention, but, then, I think we already knew that.
