Al Qaeda has re-emerged in Afghanistan. This should concern the US because Al Qaeda has always ever had one enemy — Americans. Should they be ignored the way ISIS was then in a few years we'll be having an even bigger problem than ISIS — a terrorist organization determined to not only get revenge but also eclipse "ISIS achievements."

They didn't re-emerge. Their activity may have lessened to a degree for a while but they weren't dormant or anything. If you follow events well enough to know about increased Al Qaeda activity then you should know that the US government is quite concerned by it already. Whether anything actually gets done or not that helps is an entirely different matter.
