Ayers speaks

Werbung:
Um... the majority of people in high school and college age group supported the war at the time.
.....More evidence you weren't there!!!!

Further, if you saw what happened after we allowed Ho Chi Mhin slaughter masses of people, and the thousands more who died trying to escape him, maybe you'd have a bit more of a heart.
No.....I'm too-much a fan of History.

"In 1945, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was formed with Ho Chi Minh as the first President. American planes flew over Hanoi in celebration of the founding. The Vietnamese Declaration of Independence echoed that of the U.S.: "All men are created equal. They are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...This immortal statement is extracted from the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America in 1776. Understood in the broader sense this means: All people on earth are born equal. Every person has the right to live, to be happy, and free."

According to international agreement, Vietnam was to be temporarily divided into north and south, with free elections to take place nationwide in 1956. Even before the French were out, the U.S. was moving in.

Former Emperor Bao Dai had appointed Ngo Dinh Diem, a Vietnamese Catholic who had lived in the U.S. and Europe, Premier of South Vietnam. Though Vietnam was 95% Buddhist, the Catholic Diem was soon recognized as the future leader of Vietnam by the CIA and other U.S. interests. In 1956 the U.S. refused to go along with the promised nation-wide elections because, in the words of President Eisenhower, "Possibly 80 per cent of the population would have voted for the Communist Ho Chi Minh as their leader rather than Chief of State Bao Dai."

Tell us straightly... do you support our help of the vietnamese people from a mass murder? Or do you support Ho Chi Mhin? Do tell how it was an "illegal" war. What an idiotic concept.
....So idiotic that (accurate) History bit your "conseravtive"-@ss, one more time!!! :p

That Ayers and Obama were had a close relationship is not disputed by any serious person. They are ideologically very close, with the only difference being that Obama is not a terrorist. But they served on a liberal organization and worked closely together. With his lifelong immersion in the leftwing, obama couldn't possibly not have know who he was and what he did.

Sure it's disputed..by Ayers and Obama. But you knew that...your failure to provide sources because you don't want to admit the hate mongering you listen to in Hannity, O'Reilly and Limbaugh is a given here.

I refer you to ANY standard autobiographical summary of obama, it's not in dispute by any SERIOUS person, or even anyone who can at least read. :D

So, faced with actual facts, you still continue to disseminate this myth.Did you actually watch that video?

Ayers is saying he "wished" he was a family friend of Obama's but the reality is that he is one of thousands that Obama has worked with in a professional capacity. He was asked by someone in the State Senate to hold a meeting at his house for Obama. it was "one of about 20 homes that Obama attended that day", in Ayer's words.

Oh, and by the way - that "liberal" organization you were referring to? It's run by 3 Republicans, one of which made serious cash donations to McCain. It was a bi=partisan non-for-profit charitable board.

I cannot give you Reputation points again this soon, but this is an excellent addition to this discussion. It totally debunks the falsehoods that the right-wing blogs tried to sell and gets the true out there for all to see. Obama and Ayres say exactly the same thing about their relationship -- it was professional only and they have not discussed political ideology beyond educational reform and bringing jobs to poor neighborhoods.

Thanks, Frolicking. But what are "reputation points?" I'm a relative newbie, so I have to admit to not being up on certain things on this board.

"The founding document called for a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other radical movements[3] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and achieve a classless world: world communism."[4]

of course you would rather have

..The founding document called for a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Arab Puppet Movement" and other conservative movements[3] to achieve "the objectives of US imperialism and achieve a class divided world: world capitalism."

Comrade Stalin of Oxymoronia

Did McCain sit in the pew for 20 years and with his daughters listening to Phelps?
That definitely needs to be looked-into....you know, for National Security reasons.

I'm sure Lil' Dumbya's Department Of Justice will get-right-on-it.
