Despite claims by the left that socialists are always peaceful non-confrontational benevolent dictators....

So what's up with that?

Let's do a bit of review.... 90% of Venezuelans can't get basic food, and there is a huge black market for basics like rice.

Yet here the fat Venezuela anti-capitalist dictator, is running around Russia using the vast oil money he controls to form food contracts? No what would help capitalists. Secure more foreign investment in Venezuela? No that would benefit capitalists.

No no... he's buying missiles while his people starve!

Question:

For what purpose? Will he eventually attack our ally Columbia? Will he start a Latin American war? What about all that peace leftists claim to support?

What will the American response be to this Venezuela arms race? Any comments?

This must be a fake story because obama said the world will love us once we put him in office and he would not be talking about reducing our weapons if other countries were building up their own.

So either the story is a fake or obama and his followers are once again proven to be moronic in their thinking process.

One thing I have always found odd is how socialist supporters (morons even on this forum) always claim to be about peace and love, and blaw blaw blaw... yet isn't it a bit odd how Socialists the world over always seem to be in military fatigues?

Mao

And I could list hundreds of others, and all of them resorted to violence to push their ideology. Why is that?

You could have saved a lotta space by quoting him, more-sufficiantly, Skippy.

"But he denied they would be used for offensive purposes.

"We are not going to attack anybody, these are just defence tools, because we are going to defend our country from any threat, wherever it may come from," the president said."
More carry-over from Lil' Dumbya's Iraq-war, no doubt, seeing-as-how he attacked an inadequately-armed country....like any run-o'-the-mill bully. Now, too-many countries are feeling a need to ramp-up their weaponry....just-in-case. Iran's a good-example, of that.

BTW.....The DICK; Armey is also stirring-up trouble....but, I don't see a bunch o' Venezuelans rushing-up-here, to straighten-things-out.

So what's up with that?

No...it's the BBC....NOT Faux Noise.

That doesn't prove anything, unless you are a completely brain dead idiot who has the worst track record for being the least accurate poster on this entire forum. Oh... I guess that does prove something to you, doesn't it?

Well...let's be fair. There're a lotta wannabe-tin-pot-dictators who think a uniform gives them an air of legitimacy.

(Others see uniforms as some kind o' chick-magnet....one that never seems to work...for some reason.)

Hugo Chavez "Communist".

Fidel Castro and Che Guevara "Communists".

Stalin "Communist".

Mao "Communist".

Europe has "socialist" societies. Their leaders are always dressed in civilian cloths. Denmark, England, Switerland, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Austrial, New Zealand have not resorted to violence to push thier idiology.

Just for readers of this forum, please explain the difference between a socialist and a communist so we can be sure that you know what you are talking about.

Communist is a form of socialism.

There is no difference. One is a sub-group of another.

Coming from the universally least reliable source of information on this forum... and all you can do is post a link to a dictionary.... Brilliant.

Exactly what leader begins an arms build up by stating "these are for offensive purposes"?

You also notice he is going to start a nuclear energy program now too? Problem with that is a peaceful one can be turned into a military one overnight once it reaches a certain stage.

Do we want Venezuela capable of producing a nuclear warhead?
