Was he ever against it? I thought he was for it. I know Bush was not though.
One thing I dont agree on with his thinking, he thinks it should be states rights. Normally I am very pro states rights and states rights trump the feds, but that wont work for marriage. You dont stop being married when you move to another state. It has to be nation wide if its going to work.

Another brick in the wall. And Pandora is correct that it will have to be a Federal law so we don't have a patch-work country with some States allowing slavery and other States not.
