The Pakistanis are in the race against Indians with a quiet arms race ranging. Quiet on the border is a commodity rather than the norm. The Indians have their own gripe with the Chinese dating back to1962 with their nukes sending a menacing whisper to this end. The Phillipines, Taiwan and Vietnam are engaged in sabre rattling against China over supposedly oil rich Spratly Islands as well as military brinkmanship tossed into the mix. Peace is seemingly not an absence of war.
