"Sarah Palin has a suggestion for how Barack Obama can save his presidency. "Say he decided to declare war on Iran," she said on Fox News this month. "I think people would perhaps shift their thinking a little bit and decide, well, maybe he's tougher than we think he is today."

Such talk is in the air again. Palin was picking up the idea from Daniel Pipes, a neoconservative Middle East expert who suggested a strike would reverse Obama's political fortunes.

(Actually, Palin attributed the idea to Patrick Buchanan, but she obviously entirely misread Buchanan's column, which opposed Pipes's suggestion. It's getting tiresome to keep pointing out her serial gaffeshttp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy...AR2010022102918.html?hpid=opinionsbox1&sub=AR, but Palin does appear to be running for president.)"
Great idea, there, RNC....teaching her how to read.

Ya' might wanna spend a little-more-time on reading-comprehension, though.

Could you be more specific, who exactly are these "cretins"?
Not familiar with hyper-text, huh??

"This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

LOL, he asks a simple question, and you propose more garbage. People like you consistently try to blame the "other guy" for your creations. Just like the welfare system that is destroying America, so goes the military industrial complex began by FDR, and still supported by left wingers (the real cretins)

Yes Diamond, Obama won't make the same tough decisions that Bush did like

Lie to the world to justify war (although to be fair he might do this one with Iran and Yemen)
Take a budget surplus and turn it into the world's biggest ever debt
Bring the US empire to an end
Make the world hate the US
Invent the war on terror to take over from communism as the bete noir to scare Americans into voting for more war and the removal of civil rights
Open up a concentration camp
etc

Those must have been really tough decisions

Some corrections needed: He didn't invent the war on terror to make Americans vote for him. He didn't make the world hate the US, the terrorist knew how to turn the image around, it's their and the medias fault, not Bush.

I didn't say he did invent the war on terror for people to vote for him

I said he did it to get people voting for war and the removal of civil liberties.

I thought I made myself quite clear on that.

Bush wrecked the US' international reputation.

You can think terrorists did it if you want but you are just wrong.

I assume you accept all the rest.
