Dem hysteria mounting: Pelosi says Republicans "want women to die on the floor"

The further Democrats fall behind in the upcoming elections, the more strident and nutty their rhetoric becomes.

They have always based their words, not on what is true, but on what they think they can persuade someone to believe even when they know it's not so.

But when people's belief in their speeches starts slipping away, as it has for the last several years, their response is predictable: Make the things they are saying, more ominous- and draconian-sounding. This also moves them farther from reality, but they are so used to that they apparently forget that their audience is not as likely to believe them any more.

Sometimes the results can be hilarious... such as this example.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., was essentially stripped of any formal input into the legislative process in last November's election. I heave a sigh of relief over this fact every time I see her say something like this:

She's talking about a bill that simply protects taxpayers from having to subsidize abortions through Obamacare. This is about just how out-of-touch progressives are on social issues. If you fail to show sufficient enthusiasm for paying to kill someone else's baby, it is a sign that you're heartless.

She is. Can't you recognize a zombie when you see one?

Those women who die on the floor, aren't they dying because of abortions?

But saying that we need to pay for abortions to reduce less safe abortions is like saying we need to stop sending people to prison to protect them from shanks.

BTW, how many of you know that back in the 70's the cry that back alley abortions were killing tons of people were grossly and criminally exaggerated? The number of woman who died from back alley abortions was negligably small. You can still find quotes about the large numbers but all of those quotes harken back to a ground zero statement that was plainly false.

This kind of hysteria has been common on the Left for decades. Like you say, they have been lying about back alley abortions (and so many other issues) for a long time. But sadly this kind of rhetoric works with the uninformed. They are very easily duped.

Can anyone show that the Right is engaging in any policies other than SOCIAL STATISM?

Pelosi is a very sick person. The US govt has no business using our money to fund abortions. If someone wants to kill their child then let them do it all on their own. Don't expect us to pay for it. Sick stuff.
