Democrats are getting ever more desperate. So, they have started rolling out the children, implying that a few tragic stories should justify government taking over health care.

But at one of these sobfests, Dick Durbin (D-MI) reiterated a claim made by other Democrats when they want to expand govt into health care. He announced that 70 Americans die every day due to their lack of health insurance.

Hey, Dick, if that's true, then please explain why the DEMOCRAT bill provides virtually no health care benefits for four years after it passes? By your own numbers, that means the Democrats are letting more than 100,000 people die!

Mr. Durbin, what is your justification for deliberately killing a medium-sized town? Are you and your cohorts inflicting this mass death simply to save some money? Why does your bill not start full benefits immediately? What reason do you have, that justifies the 100,000 deaths that YOU have told us will happen?

Durbin noted that 70 Americans die each day for lack of health insurance. Yet, he said, Republicans want to go slow on health-care changes.

"How much time can we take?" Durbin asked.

What is really amazing is that the four "props" that BO has used all had access to treatment, and to health insurance. That little boys mother refused to see a doctor for a check up after spending 8 days in the hospital getting treatment, and the grandmother worked for a community outreach group that signed people up for medicaid

Just another example of the lies that Democrats are willing to tell just to get a little more control over peoples lives.

Then too, according to the New England Journal of Medicene, between 1/3 and 1/2 of all doctors will quit their practice if this bill passes. If you thought there was a doctor shortage now wait and see what happens after the bill passes, if the legislators are actually so power hungry as to do it.

That is what passes for left wing "compassion".

Have a link to that ridiculous statement?

Here's one I found amongst tons of others:
AMA supports Senate bill

As a matter of fact...Here's a whole Google search page showing both the AMA & the AARP support the hc bill.

The left leaning AMA represents less than 20% of physicians in America.

Here is one that shows what a fool you are, as usual. Wasn't it you, and BO himself, who *****ed, and whined, about the use of props when Paul Ryan brought a copy of the bill to the "haelthcare summit"? Of course, since it was a Republican that had the audacity to show the people how many pages were in this thing, well, you should whine.

As to the doctors, read this fool.

What I have figured out is that you fools who don't care about this are part of that 52% of tax filers who paid no taxes, and you don't pay taxes, and don't care who has to pay for this fraud.

From your own link:

Doctors on Coverage — Physicians’ Views on a New Public Insurance Option and Medicare Expansion

Overall, a majority of physicians (62.9%) supported public and private options (see Panel A of graph). Only 27.3% supported offering private options only. Respondents — across all demographic subgroups, specialties, practice locations, and practice types — showed majority support (>57.4%) for the inclusion of a public option (see Table 1). Primary care providers were the most likely to support a public option (65.2%); among the other specialty groups, the “other” physicians — those in fields that generally have less regular direct contact with patients, such as radiology, anesthesiology, and nuclear medicine — were the least likely to support a public option, though 57.4% did so. Physicians in every census region showed majority support for a public option, with percentages in favor ranging from 58.9% in the South to 69.7% in the Northeast. Practice owners were less likely than nonowners to support a public option (59.7% vs. 67.1%, P<0.001), but a majority still supported it. Finally, there was also majority support for a public option among AMA members (62.2%).

Healthcare reform wins over doctors lobby
The American Medical Assn., once opposed to any government overhaul, now has more to gain, including a proposal worth billions of dollars to physicians.
September 15, 2009|Kim Geiger and Tom Hamburger
WASHINGTON — The American Medical Assn., after 60 years of opposing any government overhaul of healthcare, is now lobbying and advertising to win public support for President Obama's sweeping plan -- a proposal that promises hundreds of billions of dollars for America's doctors.

You are surrounded by nothing but LEFTIES!

( do you refuse to watch NFL games because you are SURE they are talking about YOU in the huddles?)

Again, no defense, or attempt to debate the validity of your assertions..... that I easily debunked.... so more of the same tiresome, deflective tactics.

Keep trying, however...It is amusing, and quite educational.

Unfortunately the end result of factors such as a dumbed down education system which the lefties support, and you demonstrate why.

Try reading this article, and keep your comments within context. If only 20% of all doctors are members of the AMA, then 79% of that number would be approx. 16% of all doctors.

Yes Old Trapper...Couple the lacking intelligence that a public education has wrought, with the fact that our friend Devil spent his entire career succling from the public treasury as an IRS, and DEA agent, and we have a perfect instance where leftism, and the inability to understand capitalism, or who actually pays for such endeavors may originate. He has proven that he hasn't a clue by his referrences to "Government money"

I'm not wasting my time arguing against "The Sky Is Falling"...insurance industry/GOP BS that when the HC bill is passed........Life on this planet will end, nor will I waste time disproving the people who insist that the Earth is flat!@ http://www.alaska.net/~clund/e_djublonskopf/Flatearthsociety.htm

Have fun!

(as far as "Dumbed Down Education" is concerned.......It is not I that is to dumb to understand that you have been sold a bunch of crap by the hc insurance industry/GOP....& they are laughing at you right now!)

Are you really trying to convince us that when this hc bill is passed (& it will be passed this month)...That we will all die because there will be no doctors working anymore??....REALLY????
We Americans are so sick & tired of the right wing's scare tactics & lies........Do us all a favor & go stand on the highway & stick your tongues out at passing motorists!

Has Dick "Turban" Durbin (D-MI) made any further announcements, reconciling his statements that 70 Americans will die every day due to not having health insurance, with the fact that most benefits in his party's Health Care bill don't start for four years after the bill is passed?

I agree! the four year waiting period is a cave to the right & should immediately be changed in the next session of Congress. Hopefully it will be, along with passing a public option.

Because, in the face of reality, you can't argue facts of the Democrat proposed HCR because no one, including yourself, knows WTF is in the bill.

Pelosi: "we must pass this bill so you can see what is in it..."

Please present a valid case to the proposed bill's sustainability, who is actually going to pay the freight for current HCR proposals, and why you consider the furthering of individual entitlement programs Constitutional ...absent of how you "feel" things will transpire.... as this is pure conjecture, and since the the current bill will fundamentally change America's health care system, I'm going to have to require a little more than a progressive's interpretations, partisan spin and weak, emotional arguments.

A typical fanatic-leftist response: Anything bad is conservatives' fault.

The truth is, of course, that Dems wrote in the four-year delay in most benefits so that they could take in money for ten years while only paying out benefits for six. This is so they could pretend that the bill was "paying for itself", by pointing to the first ten years after the bill passes.

So, the reason the Democrats are letting more than 100,000 people die, is to save money and falsify the balance sheets.

Has Durbin said anything more about this?
