Thanks Scotty. And if it's ok I'll also honor those for whom this day reminds us of.

    Thanks!
I will refrain from the traditional way of celebrating: Honoring fallen soldiers by getting in the car and driving in a such a way as to make my joining them more likely.

The cemetery was full of flags this AM, very beautiful, and very respectful.

I was talking to my G/F out that this morning. Memorial Day is today, and all weekend we have been surrounded by partiers celebrating the "day". And when do they drive home? On the holiday they are supposedly celebrating.

There was some clips on the TV here of reservists planting flags on all the graves at... I think it was Arlington - anyway I thought that was pretty cool.

In our area the American Legion places flags on the graves of all veterans buried in local cemeteries every year. I would assume many areas do the same.

They do a lot of that. Plus war memorial places that a lot of cities have for native sons.
