The possibility of libs, the enemies of free speech, extending their tentacles into the net is worth thinking about.

Why the misleading title? The piece is about the Fairness Doctrine and is nothing but right wing propaganda.

Your "source" the Business and Media Institute was founded and is run by the right wing Media Research Center. The president of which, Brent Bozell, is nothing but a shill for conservative media interests including right wing talk radio which brings us back to the reason for the article..doesn't it?

Lib likes to paint out that rightwing PSYOPS tactics are "liberal" so that they can be at once effective and at the same time put down for being "anti-american".

They're anti-american all right. If any censorship appears on the internet, it'll have more to do with republican/BigOil NSPD-51 than anything liberals could cook up.

The lib statements on the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" is a matter of public record. From the wiki entry see the following documented statements by libs:

John Gizzi, the Political Editor of Human Events, wrote that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters that the Democratic caucus was interested in bringing back the Fairness Doctrine.[8]

Senator Richard Durbin has said "It’s time to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine.”[9]

Senator John Kerry has said, "Well, I think the Fairness Doctrine ought to be there..."[10]

Give it up. :D

I've been looking for a statement from him on this for a long time. The libs are using their incrementalist approach on this, and it's working. Look what they've succeeded with:

- hate crime legislation
- RICO act prosecution of abortion protesters
- "campaign reform"
- any number of prohibitions of public religious expressions
- university speech codes

But all these fade in comparison to the "Fairness Doctrine" - this is specifically designed to shut down conservative talk radio. They know that if they succeed with that, tens of millions of people won't even know there is a conservative side to important issues. In the sunlight of free debate, libs know they will be crushed - hence their endless war on free speech

Come on libs, nobody is trying to crush you. You have every right to spew your lib propaganda as much as us normal people do.
