Foreign Bases in the Phillippines

Australia has had several trade deals with china. They have been to the benefit of both countries. We buy their manufacture good but sell cattle , minerals and services to them. Both countries have grown their GDP and Australian wages have not fallen.

If I am not mistaken this is the first FTA with China. I guess not everyone agrees with your sentiments:

Then your country must suck just as ours is beginning to do since we entered the global market, especially if your two major parties accept this:

"An investigation by Fairfax Media into what happened next shows the ease with which the rules designed to protect Australia's labour market and industrial system can be circumvented when free trade agreements open the nation's markets to the world because of a lack of oversight and enforcement."

Our government is Conservative and so is not so strong in protecting labour market or industrial system. This has little to do with trade agreements. It is hope the Opposition Labor party will help here.

The Philippine president while in China said he did not want the USA. But when he return to the Philippines he change a little and said he wanted trade with them.
