GOP debate schemes sees a lot of criticism

The GOP is getting a lot of heat because of their methods for choosing GOP candidates invited to the debate. They have been asked to allow all 16 REP candidates debate. The way it is done at the moment will allow people to give their vote based on name recognition rather than merit.

It's bad enough that at least 7 candidates will be left out of the "main" debate and relegated to the "kids' table" as it's being called, but Fox is basing their selections on national polls which are totally irrelevant at this point in the process.

I'm a liberal, so I'm really hoping conservatives pick the worst candidate. But from an unbiased point of view, this is obviously going to weed some of the less popular candidates out. But what if it weeds out the best one? Its still pretty early in the game to weed people out because they lose the popularity contest.

I'm also a liberal so I see where you're coming from but I'm not sure there is a "worst" candidate this time around, I think they're all pretty terrible. The thing with Trump is he says what some of the others are only hinting at or implying. Donald skips the dog-whistle.

The candidate that is honest is the one that looks the worst. haha Thats just funny lol

Can we agree that the term "debate" is no description of these joint press conferences ?
I was thinking yell talking points and try to get a hit on in on the frontrunner. if your in front, just survive with talking points. Make sure you hate on Mexicans, gays, call Obama a socialist, call him weak ( though he keeps killing terrorist and all that but still) offer no plan at all, and then say I love Reagan and Jesus..and in that order.

Even that would take about 15 hours to get through each of them doing that! ;)

I think everybody knows it's not an actual debate, it's just a publicity stunt to try and score points off each other. All the election is these days is a popularity contest, who do you like the most? Who has the nicest smile? Who dresses the best?

People don't seem to be interested in what the candidates actually think about policies or the future of the country, what their thoughts are on various issues, and I think the candidates know this. They're quite happy to keep it that way because then they can just turn on the charm and not have to answer any awkward questions about the things that really matter.

Obama has killed zero terrorists.

Those whose votes are for sale take note. And that pool has grown.
