Some interesting results from a new WaPo/ABC News Poll gauging the worry over the federal budget deficit. You never would have guessed...the same Republicans that said nary a word while Bush was running up the deficit for wars, tax cuts for big business and the wealthy and such, are suddenly concerned. Yes hypocrisy reigns supreme among supporters of the GOP.

74 percent of Republicans in the new poll expressed grave worry about the deficit, 29 points higher than in December when George W. Bush held the reins.

Sixty-one percent of independents are very concerned about the deficit, up 12 points from December, with the increase almost entirely among those who said they tend to side with the GOP.

Perfectly understandable considering that obama has doubled government spending with virtually no public debate.

When he took office in 2001, Bush inherited a surplus of $128 billion and then preceded to post a budget deficit every year...

During that time, I heard a lot of excuses and justifications from Republicans but very little complaining.....why?
