Now the govt is in the business of creating banks? I know we like to bail them out and structure their salaries and bonuses... but I didn't know we created them.

Read carefully the first two paragraphs.

GE and the EPA are going to lobby for this. Of course they will.

GE wants to create the new "ENERGEY GRID". Nope. No conflict of interest here at all.

Ill be sure to NOT bank there. I dont want any stock in GE and I dont want to help them in any way, shape or form. I want them to fall in a hole and die.

There are so many conflicts of interest in this administration I am not sure we could count the ones we know and I can only imagine the ones we dont know ....yet

and to think these obama followers/worshipers screamed like middle school girls every time they thought President Bush had a conflict of interest.

While I agree the government does not need to be off creating banks, I am not quite sure how you are suddenly using this to attack GE... GE has been investing private money into this stuff for years, and where is the conflict on interest? If a company would benefit (in theory) and therefore lobbies for it, it is a conflict of interest?

The bank is going to be owned and operated by the Government. This is so the green bank can loan money for green initiatives. Wheter proven or not. The government wants the new Smart Grid as part of Obama's plan.
GE head is Immelt, on the Obama Economic Panel.

GE is going to join with other entities to lobby govt to create the bank which will be funded by tax dollars - not private money- so they can get the contract for the Smart Grid.

It's already bad enough that Immelt is advising Obama, while at the same time, receiving more than favorable coverage from MSNBC and NBC.

Also keep in mind, that GE finance has gotten bail out money as well.
