This is my first time on a political forum and I've enjoyed reading the posts so far. I didn't seem to care much about politics in my younger days but now I find myself quite drawn and riveted. I hope to contribute and learn a thing or two myself

    :)

Is your username a Dune reference by any chance?

Yes, indeed it is a reference to Paul Atreides, the son of the Duke who adopts the name muadib (actually Muad'dib) in the desert. I am a huge sci-fi fan and Dune is widely believed to be the greatest sci-fi novel of all time. It certainly is one of my favorites. We could probably spend hours on end about the themes in Dune.

I keep telling myself that someday I'll read that book. And then I look at the pile of stuff I have to read for school and remind myself that no, I have time. Welcome to the forum!
