The documentary asked the question is Obama hated because of his race or his policies or both? The conclusion of the documentary was he is hated due to his race. The movie cites the fact that all of the subliminal racism all resembles common racist attitudes which openly existed before the era of political correctness. However, nowadays, it's all done in a stealth subliminal fashion so nobody will be accused of being racist.

Policy would be opposed regardless who executed it.
People may be bigoted or not but nobody is happy about the failed 8 years.

You have to understand that your opinion only represents the right side of politics. Under Obama unemployment dropped in half and the stock market doubled. In my opinion the failure was in congress whose goal was stated to oppose Obama. Congress has a unfavorable rating around 13 percent. Obama's job approval is now Approve 51, Disapprove 44.

Race issues aside, people are so polarized in this country when it comes to politics that it's always going to end up being near 50/50 or 60/40 even if a president does a good job. Congress is the real problem, not the executive.

Unemployment dropped by putting record numbers out of the workforce due to the non recovery.
He's been giving wall street 85 billion a month for six years after the Porkulus ran out. Suppose the market does that without it ? The .01% thank you for the trillions.
Taxes up a trillion to cover the trillion in spending making sure the economy stays choked.
If you look under the hood all you see is disaster.

If congress viciously opposes Obama's agenda, then it would only make sense that his administration would have major problems. How can conservatives adequately defend their belief that unemployment rose etc.. considering what I just mentioned? Note, in regards to another large problem, gasoline prices did fall during much of Obama's administration. However, most people are saving the money, rather than spending it. Nonetheless, the economy is in much better shape now than during the 2008 crash.

The policies BO put forth were nothing more than more Porkulus that did nothing. Why would anyone support that ?
Gas fell due mainly lack of demand dye to lack of recovery. Then we started pumping which made SA way over pump and a glut was made.
May be better than at the bottom but no better than a year past bottom.

Wrong on so many points one does not know where to start.

First off, the "bailout" porkulus was created by Bush, and co. The recession was created by Bush, and co. The loss of thousands of businesses, and millions of obs, was created by the Bush administration. The 86 Billion a month given to Wall Street was a Federal Reserve action in buying back bonds, etc., to generate wealth for the 1%.

As to the oil glut, fracking created that, and then Saudi Arabia recently increased their output in an attempt to make oil so cheap that the oil companies could not afford to use fracking. The lack of demand goes back several years, and can be blamed largely on the Bush recession, and then the glut. One actually has to wonder why we are still importing oil, and why the price is now increasing when the glut is still there.

We'll see. Hillary Clinton is white, all white and not just half, so we'll soon be able to compare the hatred directed at her with that directed at Obama. My guess is that the crapfling will be equally disgusting.

It already is. However, any trial of Clinton will take place after the election, and the lawsuit against Trump is scheduled for after the election.

Everything you guys are discussing as successes or failures of this presidency is in the hands of our failed congress. It has nothing to do with the president or his poling numbers, or his race. It is just ridiculous.

What kind of statement is that? A drop in unemployment would put people into the workforce, not out of it! The rest of your post is just as wrong.

You can't deny the abject political bigotry of the "party of no" toward Obama.

There was a time Obama wasn't hated that much in 2008. At that time there obviously were some far right groups that openly expressed their hatred but most of the other people didn't hate Obama. They hated Bush. And Republicans.

So what exactly changed? How could it be that now people hate Obama more than they hated Bush? It's not just about race though that [there's no denying it] is also a factor.
