What is it with these guys and their predisposition for running the country by running it down?

Socially, economincally, internationally. You name it. They love to hate us.

In his first major speech since being confirmed, the nation's first black attorney general told an overflow crowd celebrating Black History Month at the Justice Department the nation remains "voluntarily socially segregated."

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards," Holder declared.

The attorney general said employees across the country "have done a pretty good job in melding the races in the workplace," but he noted that "certain subjects are off limits and that to explore them risks at best embarrassment and at worst the questioning of one's character."

"On Saturdays and Sundays, America in the year 2009 does not, in some ways, differ significantly from the country that existed some 50 years ago. This is truly sad," Holder said.

What's inherently exclusionary or segregational about people wanting to be with their own kind? Ever been to Little Saigon? Little Italy?

because segregation of people leads to prejudice, ignorance, hate, fear, persecution and violence. Based on sex, religion, sexual orientation, religion or even politics...the end result is almost always the same.

Americans on all sides don't talk about this issue, even is some see racism all over and some are blind to its influence....When someone even brings up the idea that we are scared to talk about it, without pointing any fingers...you already seemed to have taken it as a attack on whites from what it looks like. Then again maybe I am seeing it where it was not men, but your pointing out that blacks go to black churches on weekends...while not saying anything else...makes me think you see just talking about race even...as a attack on whites.

so again thank you for proving the point
