The video says it all.....

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama's limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple... the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video below seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not.

Since you like numbers so much popeye, I thought I post this for ya!!! :D

Zogby Poll

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

And yet.....

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

This is all pretty hilarious and pathetic all at the same time. I do not think it is indicative of how he won however. While I certainly did not support Obama, I think if you went to some polling stations that lean heavily republican you would get response that Obama is a muslim terrorist communist.

While the videos and polls make for a good laugh, I doubt that it what decided the election.

Having the benefit 0f 20/20 hindsight, It's now apparent the the election was decided in the democratic primaries. A democrat was going to be elected regardless of who the democrats nominated.

This was not apparent during the primaries. The republicans still thought they had a shot as long as Hillary wasn't the nominee. Most republican primaries were closed and only registered republicans could participate. The democratic primaries were open and anyone could vote in them as long as they hadn't already voted in the republican primary.

I believe there was enough crossover voting by republicans, in an attempt to nominate the weakest posible democrat, to make Obama the democratic nominee. I certainly don't have any proof of this. And further, I don't believe a single republican who did it would ever acknowledge it. Still, it's my opinion that it happened.

Therefore, it's my considered opinion that crossover republicans are responsible for Barrack Obama being the president-elect.

Not just the primaries, Obama showed well in the caucuses, he lost almost every earlier primary to Clinton.

It was funny, I saw it on the news. I know personally people like this. My sister being one of them. I asked her who the VP was and she sort of stood there looking blank and so I said, ah ha! you did not know that Halliburton was the VP. She snapped back at me that yes she did.

After the election she called me all bubbles and giggles that Obama is going to get our troops out of Iran. I asked her if she meant Iraq? and she said probably. (MY 8 year old daughter knows the difference) She thought Obama only knew Bill Ayers from when he was a kid. I know how she got that, she saw the tv ad where he said he was only 8 years old when Ayers did the crimes, so she sort of put the two together and decided he must have known him when he was a kid. She by the way doesnt think he is a christian or a muslim, but a deep spiritualist... but said she didnt know why she felt that way it must have been things he said.

She also thinks we have been in Iran since 911. I tried to explain she was confusing Afganastan and Iraq, we went right into Afganastan but it was well over a year almost two before we went into Iraq.. even though we are in 2008 and we just had the 5 year anniversary, she still knows better :)

Oh and the kicker, obama isnt really for partial birth abortion and its all a missunderstanding that he voted against the born alive act 4 times :)

She is about as educated as the people on the video. If I did not know people this dumb, I dont know if I could believe the video

The point that the reporter is making is how the media helped the obama campaing. How people knew the negative and sometimes made up issues of the McCain/palin campaing.

It's really ridiculous....

As to your so called Zogby poll that was done at the behest of right winger John Ziegler...

From Zogby Engages in Apparent Push Polling for Right Wing Website

To my mind, this survey meets the definition of a "push poll", which the Random House Dictionary defines as "a seemingly unbiased telephone survey that is actually conducted by supporters of a particular candidate and disseminates negative information about an opponent." That (i) several of the items on the survey contain information which, in addition to being negative, is arguably also untrue; (ii) Ziegler brags that the survey includes a trick question to which no correct answer can be provided, and that (iii) apparently only Obama voters were targeted by the survey (although this is not 100 percent clear), also inform my opinion that the survey can fairly be described as a "push poll".

In an item on his personal website dated today, 11/18, Ziegler claims that Zogby will officially release the results of the survey tomorrow. Ziegler also appeared on Fox's Hannity & Colmes news program yesterday (11/17) to promote his documentary, on which clips from the YouTube video were shown.

Why Zogby International has decided to accept this client and conduct a survey in this fashion is not clear. I would hope, however, that any and all clients that need legitimate polling work conducted would take their business elsewhere.

I have another set of survey questions that I think would provide an interesting video on an exit poll of Republicans:

Which candidate is a Muslim?
Which Senator took an oath on the Koran?
Which candidate is a Socialist
etc.

Then you cherry pick the people with the wrong answers.
Do you get the picture?

1st one Neither
2d one It was a congressman
3d one Obama

Keith Ellison.
Representative Keith Ellison.
Nearly the entire democratic party, and some of the republican party.

Btw, I deny that only Brain Moore is a socialist.
I base my description of who is a socialist and who is not, on more than superficial titles. A socialist is a person who supports socialism, through socialistic policy. Based on that, my answer above is correct.
