Huckabee Leads 2012 Poll

Mitt would be an excellent choice, but the evangelical Christian Right would never vote for a Mormon, never mind that Mormon's political views fit theirs to a T, they'd never vote for an infidel.

Now that we know how bad obama is, they might be able to.

If that dang huckabumb stays out of the way that would make the chances better.

I vaguely remember the furor about JFK being a 'CATHOLIC' and the overly hyped up consternation that his faith caused some out here in middle America...but that was wayyyy back in the stone age and the media played such a minor roll in the elections at that time!

And he still was able to pull votes from the puritan religious thinking crowd...maybe it was all of his charisma and his ability to speak in that Massachusetts manner that just locked us into our radios to hear him speak:confused:

There are no smart politicians, it's all about image, from Kennedy to Reagan to Clinton to Bush to Obama. Sarah Palin could be the first woman president of the U. S., she's a whole lot smarter than Hillary Clinton & Nancy Pelosi, by a long shot. Palin's image as dumb is overblown, more so than Dan Qualye, but what do you expect from the media. I believe she will be the nominee of the Republican Party in 2012 & she will defeat the chosen one Obama, along with his fan club at MSNBC, going downhill as well.

Sad but true...but I'm still hoping that there are a small percentage of 'good hearted/well rounded/intelligent' humans that do run for public office and that they do create some balance for the 'neerdowells' that have their own greedy agendas for being elected!

OK...you just fell off of that 'BRAIN TRAIN' that I thought you were on...GOOD GRIEF You've flip/flopped right back over your first statement  You have some type of litmus test to back that up or just a 'FEELING' that you could be right in your thoughts? NO-WAY, she's eons behind Hillary...even with a crash course in the basics...Sarah won't match up to Hillary's knowledge EVER!

Well, it's to bad that you haven't read/heard/followed fair Sarah and the places that she's dribbled her inept knowledge around AMERICA...she's earned that 'DUMB AS A BOX OF ROCKS' title and she did it all on her own...and she did a good job of it too;)
But if you think that she's going to be the best that the republicans can shove out front for the nomination...then all I can say is BRING IT ON and watch SOCCER MOM HAVE A MENTAL MELT DOWN ALL IN THE PUBLIC ARENA RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE WORLD...it won't be pretty to watch and might make you feel bad!

Palin...smart....that's just funny. Just as long as she is not asked the "gotcha" questions like what do you read...or say the last name of the VP Candidate your about to Debate ( no its not O'Biden)...No the earth is not 2000 years old and no Humans did not walk the earth with Dinosaurs,...And he is a short history on WWII and the Korean war so you why there is a North and South Korea. ( and no you can't just randomly say its about jobs if asked about North Korea, and no you should not just say, that question is not on my cue cards, can I please just ignore what you asked, and read a different card? )

And Mitt will never win, he sounds to smart when he talks, even when I don't agree....he sounds educated....that will not play well with the party base :)

What I dont understand is the dislike of Huckabee by GOPers. How is he not everything ideoligically you are really looking for? Sure not perfect, but overall not very controversial. For the most part defendable, I would almost think at the right time in America he could be electable. The big hangup is his views on evolution and abortion.
I think Americans want a "theocrachy" less than they would want a Swedish "socialist" style system.

There seems to be some in this thread that suggest Sarah is not smart. I would disagree with you.
Firstly, she is by no means dumb. I think more accurate terms would be ignorant, uneducated, or disinterested. Before all the Palin hoopla, anytime Sarah was asked about issues outside of the local scope she was not interested.
She was smart enough to take the money and run.
In America there is always a certain amount of respect for someone who is capable of this.

Lastly, if in fact Sarah Palin does become a Presidential Candidate, and possibly the GOP nominee and assuming anything is possible that she does become President...
It will be a direct result of her media super star status that has been created and fueled like no one else in history to a certain outlet it will mark an interesting change in the function of the "news" media that exists in modern America.

So, you take him at face value for this comment, when you probably have discounted every other sentence he has spoken.

It makes perfect sense. If he knows he'll be a lame duck he had no reason to run. He does not crave the aggrivation. Little happens in a second term most of the time and bad numbers only make that worse.

And I am not all that confident the DNC will want him back.

He's just not presidential. In a pre-tv world he might have been fine.

The Huck sucks. He is just another progressive the media thinks is okay.

Just as the lib media pushed McCant, they will do their best to push The Huck.
