It is a silly question...to conservatives. We have known for years that he is a Marxist. But, many liberals do not know this and I wonder if they care.

So, here libs. Please read this. Do you care that our President is a Marxist?

The White House and its media allies claim that the 1996 welfare reform bill, the 1997 children's health insurance program and the 2001 Bush tax cuts were passed using reconciliation. This is misleading. Every one of these measures had strong Democratic support - especially in the Senate.

Mr. Obama is engaged in an abuse of power. He is thwarting the will of the majority of the American people who do not want socialized medicine. They rightly fear that the proposal's massive $1 trillion price tag will add to our skyrocketing national debt, which has brought us to the brink of ruin. They understand it will stifle medical innovation and reduce the quality of care, leading to rationing and longer waiting lines. It represents the greatest expansion of entitlement spending since the 1960s.

His proposal seeks to create a centrally planned medical economy that will erect a gigantic government bureaucracy based on massive taxes, subsidies and regulations. Mr. Obama is willing to sacrifice his party's political fortunes in November - and even his own re-election in 2012 - because he understands one fundamental fact: Nationalized health care is the heart of cradle-to-grave statism. No country that has ever embraced socialized medicine - Canada, Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy - has ever been able to regain economic freedom.

This is not because government-run health care is so effective or beloved; rather, it fosters a debilitating spirit of dependency that is fatal to a self-governing people. In short, it kills the self-reliance and individualism critical to a free-market democracy.

For Mr. Obama, that is precisely the point. Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution, laid out the Marxist blueprint that has been followed by the radical left since 1917. Lenin urged that any disaster should be exploited to "hasten the destruction ... of the capitalist class." The 2008 Great Recession brought Mr. Obama to power. He has been seizing this crisis in order to overthrow the old capitalist order.

Mr. Obama is relentlessly giving birth to a new nation: the United Socialist States of America - the U.S.S.A.

I wish Republicans would argue against Health Care reform honestly. Instead of propagandizing everything to such ridiculous levels.

Why don't you just say, "Health care is a privilege for those who can afford it"...

1. Thwarting the will of the people
- Obama won the election by over 9 million votes. He ran away with the electoral college. He ran his entire campaign with Health Care reform as a centerpiece.
- The public option polls higher then any republican idea on reform
- the bill past the senate with 60 votes

2. Will add to our debt
- The CBO scored the bill and verifies that it will contribute to reducing our defecit over the next ten years. So it does the opposite of your statement.

3. rationing, lines, boogie men
- standard republican operating procedure. when you have nothing to contribute, scare people. "the commies are coming and they will eat your children and have sex with your dog."

4. centrally planned medical economy
- i think its about time that all these claims be documented with actual parts of the bill. the majority of hysterical claims that come from the right are outlandish BS.

Okay, but is BO a Marxist?

Oh like when Democrats say that the Republican health care plan is for people to "die quickly"?

Why don't you just say, "Health care is a privilege for those who can afford it"...
Why don't you just say, "Some people have a right to the labor of others"?

1. Thwarting the will of the people
- Obama won the election by over 9 million votes. He ran away with the electoral college. He ran his entire campaign with Health Care reform as a centerpiece.
Campaign of vague promises for "change" and vapid rhetorical statements with a careful exclusion of details. Also, Obama railed against Hillary's HC plan because of it's insurance mandate but after winning, he adopted her HC plan. He lies every time he goes out and talks about "his" health care plan.

- The public option polls higher then any republican idea on reform
There is no public option in the bill.

- the bill past the senate with 60 votes
Yet a majority of Americans are against the proposed legislation...

Gallup - Americans by a 49% to 42% margin oppose rather than favor Congress passing a healthcare bill similar to the one proposed by President Obama and Democrats in the House and Senate. By a larger 52% to 39% margin, Americans also oppose the Democrats in the Senate using a reconciliation procedure to avoid a possible Republican filibuster and pass a bill by a simple majority vote.

The votes of Congress are not necessarily reflective of the will of the people.

2. Will add to our debt
- The CBO scored the bill and verifies that it will contribute to reducing our defecit over the next ten years. So it does the opposite of your statement.
Not so fast...

CBO has been asked whether the reductions in projected Part A outlays and increases in projected HI revenues under the legislation can provide additional resources to pay future Medicare benefits while simultaneously providing resources to pay for new programs outside of Medicare. Our answer is basically no.

To describe the full amount of HI trust fund savings as both improving the government’s ability to pay future Medicare benefits and financing new spending outside of Medicare would essentially double-count a large share of those savings and thus overstate the improvement in the government’s fiscal position.

3. rationing, lines, boogie men
- standard republican operating procedure. when you have nothing to contribute, scare people. "the commies are coming and they will eat your children and have sex with your dog."
Oh like when Democrats say that the Republican health care plan is for people to "die quickly"?

How about those supporting the bill do the same, reference specific pages of the bill associated with the fantastical claims made about what the legislation will accomplish.
the majority of hysterical claims that come from the right are outlandish BS.

Government run health care will only make it worse and the Health Insurance industry only cares about their bottom line and people still have to wait months to see a specialist so our health care in this country is far from the best but it could be worse. It's just like our justice system and we've all been trying to fix that for decades.

Oh like when Democrats say that the Republican health care plan is for people to "die quickly"?

yes, i think that's stupid too. And you won't find me making propaganda statements such as the above.

Why don't you just say, "Some people have a right to the labor of others"?

Why don't you deal with the question instead of doing the straw man thing.

You believe that health care is a privilege? Yes or No?

Campaign of vague promises for "change" and vapid rhetorical statements with a careful exclusion of details. Also, Obama railed against Hillary's HC plan because of it's insurance mandate but after winning, he adopted her HC plan. He lies every time he goes out and talks about "his" health care plan.

I know it's horrible when leaders incorporate the ideas of others. Obama was pretty clear about health care during the campaign. He campaigned on 'Universal Health care, by the end of the first term'.

There is no public option in the bill.

there should be... and i do like the language allowing states to pursue their own public option plans, but I don't like that the corporations can sue the states if the do.

Yet a majority of Americans are against the proposed legislation...

When asked about Obama's plan (without being given any details about what the legislation includes), 49 percent opposed it and 40 percent were in favor. But after hearing key features of the legislation described, 48 percent supported the plan and 43 percent remained opposed.

81% agree with the creation of a new marketplace.
76% agree with requiring companies to accept anyone and not deny/drop coverage.
75% agree with requiring most business to provide their employees HI
Only 28% support the mandate/fine
55% oppose the 'cadillac tax'

Republicans go from 15% support to only 18% support when it comes to the details. But Dems go from 42 to 52 % support upon the details. This shows that the left is still showing their anger for completely taken single payer off the table on day 1, and then not fighting for a strong public option.

46% of Americans prefer Obama's handling of the economy to Republicans 30%

The votes of Congress are not necessarily reflective of the will of the people.

The ability to dismiss an election after 6 months is amazing.

Not so fast...

that is your proof that the current HC bill does not in fact help reduce our defecit?

Oh like when Democrats say that the Republican health care plan is for people to "die quickly"?

You won't see me participating in that game. The thread starter engaged in ridiculous rhetoric. I pointed that out.

How about those supporting the bill do the same, reference specific pages of the bill associated with the fantastical claims made about what the legislation will accomplish.

The majority of the claims made about what the bill would do are outlandish BS.

Would the bill make Health care at least accessible to every American? That if you wanted to pay for health insurance, you would have health insurance?

Would the bill create exchanges that would drive a little bit more competition?

Are there many efficiency provisions included (that will help bring costs down) to help get health care administration on track for the 21st century?

What are the outlandish claims about what the bill will do? You mean death panels?

You are right, our health care system in the US is struggling. It is struggling under the weight of an already colossal regulatory burden created by the federal government. More of the same crap is not going to improve it.

Maybe if the Health Insurance Industry did the right thing in the beginning none of this would be coming to fruition. I hate it when the Feds have to regulate anything but like I said none of it would be if those who had good intentions actually carried them out.
