Sometimes people who support a globalist agenda might claim that poor people have refused to get an academic or vocational education. In that case, they claim it's no wonder the poor are poor. Also the globalists might claim certain poor people might channel their resentment thru anti-global politicians like Trump, Ron Paul, or David Duke.
