14 yesterday
3 cops today
4 cops in oakland few days ago
that rest home got shot up
that guy who shoot up 2 workplaces where he was a daytrader or what ever...

cant turn on the tv last few weeks without a new mass shooting...Can only guess how many days till the next one it seems. Lasts one feared Obama was going to take away guns, so got on a bullet proof vest and waited for cops to show up at a Domestic disturbance call...and killed 3 of them...I guess that will make sure that does not happen, smart guy. most seem to all have one thing in common outside of guns...job loss as well.

I am kinda shocked no one has said anything in here about this...one way or the other. But its pretty sad that its now just a daily thing almost.

Poplawski (the Pittsburgh shooter) feared "the Obama gun ban that's on the way" and "didn't like our rights being infringed upon," according to his best friend Edward Perkovic.

Man, that sound familiar doesn't it? It appears Poplawski has been listening to too much right wing radio, maybe watching too much Faux News.

well nothing says don't take our guns away like random shootings of cops...smart people.

Piitsburgh shooter was a right wing nut

Man, some of this stuff I've actually seen alluded to here and on other forums....as many on the right wing have gone off the deep end since Obama's election.

Right wing hate radio is right there leading the charge and bearing some responsibility for this particular tragedy..take a listen to someone like Michael Savage if you want to hear a certifiable nut case. I suggest the right lighten up, challenging President Obama on policy is one thing, but throwing out crazy unsubstantiated conspiracy theories is something else again..

Richard Andrew Poplawski was a young man convinced the nation was secretly controlled by a cabal that would eradicate freedom of speech, take away his guns and use the military to enslave the citizenry.

----

"He was really into politics and really into the First and Second amendment. One thing he feared was he feared the gun ban because he thought that was going to take away peoples' right to defend themselves. He never spoke of going out to murder or to kill," said Edward Perkovic, who described himself as Mr. Poplawski's lifelong best friend.

Mr. Poplawski's view of guns and personal freedom took a turn toward the fringes of American politics. With Mr. Perkovic, he appeared to share a belief that the government was controlled from unseen forces, that troops were being shipped home from the Mideast to police the citizenry here, and that Jews secretly ran the country.

"We recently discovered that 30 states had declared sovereignty," said Mr. Perkovic, who lives in Lawrenceville. "One of his concerns was why were these major events in America not being reported to the public."

.......I would agree with you Pop. The individual involved was just some screwed up loon that had a very tenuous grip on reality and his paranoia was just waiting for the right impulse to initiate his self-destruct sequence!

Sounds like a democrat.

Of course the key is the theory that Jew controlled everything. That to me screams leftist.

Re: Piitsburgh shooter was a right wing nut

actuly I thought my thread mas more aimed a the large amount of shootings overall...not that the right has gone overboard and lost it as this one seems to suggest more. They overlap, but not same issue I dont think/.

Re: Piitsburgh shooter was a right wing nut

Duplicate thread...

Obviously Popeye didn't feel the other one's title was provocative enough.

https://www.houseofpolitics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7254

Can one of you fine admins remove or merge this thread with that one?

Thanks... :)

What's the matter, you don't like the truth being exhibited in the thread title? There is no question that this guy was a right wing nut... Further inflamed by the irresponsible charges of idiots like Glenn Beck and Wayne Lapierre.

Fact is, this is a duplicate thread and there is supposed to be a policy about not having multiple threads. I realize you think the rules don't apply to you, or any "progressives", but I'm hoping the admins will disagree.

This jackass was a nutcase. His antisemitism doesn't jive with the "right wing" (you should know, being antisemitic and all). As far as his view of second amendment, that individuals have a right to keep and bear arms, are you suggesting that there are no Democrats who believe in an individuals right to keep and bear arms? Certainly sounds like that's your implication... You're trying to say this guy is a "right winger" because of his concerns about the second amendment and concerns about gun bans... as if nobody on the left shares the same concerns with the most anti-gun president in history sitting in the oval office.

Glenn Beck is not leveling any charges or otherwise stoking flames (IDK that Wayne guy), Glenn has never advocated violence, on the contrary, he has repeatedly said anyone who thinks of using violence needs professional help because violence is not the answer and will only cause more problems... Besides Glenn cries like a schoolgirl any chance he gets, hardly a "lets take up arms against our government" kinda guy.

I really don't care. Only an idiot would claim that "Glenn Beck" is causing idiots to go off and kill people, when they were mentally unstable for years.

arson_san_diego_2003_2.jpg

Since the Vail arson, hundreds of crimes have been committed in the name of environmental protection nationwide. The most damaging occurred on August 1, 2003, when arsonists burned down a housing complex under construction in San Diego, destroying a five-story building and 100-foot-high crane; losses were estimated at $50 million. A 12-foot banner reading "If you build it, we will burn it," along with the ELF acronym, was found at the scene. (Six weeks later, ELF set fire to three other homes under construction in the area.)

mcdonalds_arson.jpg

In another incident involving McDonald's and incendiary devices on March 3, 2003, two explosives designed to spread fire quickly once ignited were found at a McDonald's in Chico, California. The phrases "meat is murder" and "species equality" were spray-painted in red, as was "Animal Liberation Front." A note connecting ALF to the crime was found in a nearby phone booth. Although the two incendiary devices failed to ignite, a week later a different McDonald's in Chico was damaged by another device. "Liberation" and "ALF" were also spray-painted on the walls.

Why, I think this entire group is being inflamed by Al Gore and Obama, and the democrat party!

What's a matter, truth hurts? Hey you want to play this game Popeye, fine, let's start with Pol Pot, Stalin, Mao, and all the other socialist athiests that have murdered millions just in the last century.

Or you could like.... grow up? Be an adult, and not try and play blame games with crazy people, eh? Not say stupid childish things that make you come across like a screaming baby?

Sorry... couldn't help it. When I read his posts, this is what comes to mind.

Well at your next Klan meeting raise your hand and ask the question... What's a Far Right group like the Klan's opinion of Jews controlling everything?

I think you must be the last to know that's a standard bearer Right Wing nut job philosophy.

............ quite right........whether or not this guy was a right winger, left winger or just plain confused is pretty damned irrelevant really! Fact is he was a whack job........plain and simple!

Looking at the Klans political ideology, what would you consider 'far-right' about it? From what little I know about the Klan, I have nothing in common with them. So am I a leftist? Or are they not as 'far-right' as you claim?

Is the Black Panthers a far right group? They are just as hateful and racists from what I've seen.

I think you must be the last to know that's a standard bearer Right Wing nut job philosophy.
Is Jesse Jackson, Louis Farakan, and Reverend Wright, all part of the right wing nut job philosophy? I've heard each of them make similar claims about the evils of Jews.
