Md AG refuses to investigate ACORN

Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler said that his office will continue to list the advocacy group ACORN on his office's consumer protection division Web site, even though the group is facing scrutiny after several employees were shown on videos encouraging potential clients to file false tax returns and break other laws.

It's all good and acceptable in Maryland!

It's called States Rights, and when it suits your purposes, you Conservatives trumpet loudly about how sacred States Rights are to you. Of course, being the hypocrites you are, when it does not suit your purposes, for example the gun laws in DC, you conveniently forget about States Rights.

It's no longer states rights when it is federal money that comes from the federal govt.
Money that is taken from the states and re-distributed.

Maryland does not have to investigate, but it should. The fact they won't will leave an impression that they are complicit in the behavior of this group.

Let's also remember, ACORN lost their charter in the state of MD as well.
So they are not even operating under legally in the state of MD
 
ACORN is Obama's Pride and Joy and of course corrupt.

It is not a coincidence that Maryland is refusing to go after ACORN, because it
would be easy to say they are going to investigate and do nothing. But they aren't even
willing to do that. Why?

It's shamefull to see how this organization Obama and Democrats funded with
taxpayer dollars from all states is operating in Maryland.

It's called CHANGE!

ACORN has nothing on all organized crime that we've been trying to root out for the past 80 or so years... and organized crime has nothing on ACORN. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc., it's most likely a duck.

BUT I fully support Maryland's right to make a monumental national fool of themselves. Perhaps they're buying into the ludicrous defense of "we were set up!" Yep, and you walked, no RAN right into that one.

Character does count, and the lack of it in this organization is going to prove to be their downfall, I sincerely hope! And there are brave souls out there willing to investigate Obama's links with this organization, as well as others. The webs are there, and waiting to be untangled.

Old saying - "Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we endeavor to deceive!" Maybe PBO should have put down some of the Alinsky and like-kind books, and studied up on some old folk proverbs.

Another reason I support MD in this action - living in the once-great manufacturing state of MI, that our fearless leader Czarina Granholm has managed to just about destroy, I have perverse pleasure in seeing a different state assume the notorious position of being the armpit of America. Since ACORN stinks to high heaven anyway, it is sort of appropriate that in embracing them Maryland should, too!

The hypocrisy of the Right is so tangible.

When the Abramoff big wig Right pulls off terribly unscrupulous things the Right runs to a TV camera and says... You eat one lousy foot and they call you a cannibal.:D

But when a few low level ACORN employees get set up saying something they've shouldn't have. Then the sky is falling.

When will they get it? People are going to organize and help the Democrats because the Republicans are a small tent Party (and shrinking) that really doesn't represent most people's best interests.

That's what drives people to organize & work against them. And that's not going to stop because of ACORN.:D

Thank Little-Acorn. Top Gun and his compatriots have no choice but to circle wagons on this one. There is no defense of the indefensible. To truly believe the spin of the ACORN defenders is to suspend all reason. Their organization must be rife with these people - the few bad apples in everything from registering dead people, Mickey Mouse and the Dallas Cowboys to vote to pimping teenagers that thankfully were fabricated. Makes you wonder how many were for real, doesn't it?

Another old truism the liberals would do well to heed: You cannot wallow with the pigs without wearing their mud.

Let me be clear, from Abramoff to Blagojevich, from Chappequiddick to Watergate, power corrupts. Reprehensible, twisted, horrendous - every vile adjective you can apply. Right or left, evil is evil. Period.

You decry water boarding as torture. Yet you choose to minimize and excuse the institutionalized practice of nothing less than human trafficking. AND that it should be supported and upheld with huge amounts of U.S. taxpayer funds.

Your position is unsupportable - even the Obama administration is carefully seeking separation from ACORN. Of course, it should be no surprise to those dedicated ACORNers, devoted to their Lord Obama. They have served their purpose, and according to the laws of Chicago politics, are now disposable.

The trail of the slime balls will be followed closely. Hopefully they will never surface in anything close to public service again.

And about that amazing shrinking party. Have your moment of insane hilarity. You've not stopped to realize that the shrinking of the Republican Party is NOT commensurate with an increase in the Democrat Party. They are simply removing themselves from the rolls of membership within the Republicans, just as I have. I'm a Conservative first and foremost. Republican was always secondary. And watch closely as the ranks of the Libertarian Party swells, potentially sweeping from coast to coast.

Actually Maryland said it wants to investigate the people who broke the ACORN story instead.

whats sad is you guys still cant figure out that the ones who got defrauded in that case...was ACORN...Dont left facts hurt you to much though...it was a few people who turned in more reg cards to get paid more...by accorn.. who is also the one who reported them as suspicus, but are not legaly able to throw them out, then they where thrown out. See funny thing, you Mickey Mouse cant show up to vote still, even if Registered...I know you may find that hard to belive but its true, you can reg mickey mouse 100000 times, you know how many times that will count for a vote ? Zero...Net Result, no votes change....ACorn gets screwed out of some money...and a few people who lied to Acorn get some money.

Be careful with your facts...they might just catch you...like you said it isn't about the votes - its about the money. The more registered voters in a district means more money gets allocated to Acorn by lobbyists in order to influence them through marketing. So, in the end the money does funnel to Acorn as an organization. Like you said, it is all about the money.

of course that is deffeated when they themself turn in them saying that they find some of them to be fakes...now would it not?
