COMMENTARY | Sometimes you get the feeling that Michele Bachmann was only paying attention half the time in her American History classes or perhaps has a reading comprehension problem that caused her to retain only a part of the information she perused while studying (or not studying) the history of the United States. Take for instance her latest gaffe while appearing on ABC's "Good Morning America," one in which she attempted to rectify another gaffe from earlier in the year. This time she elevated sixth president John Quincy Adams to the role of Founding Father, a role his most distinguished father John Adams actually enjoyed.

again...misspeaking vs wrong info....She did not misspeak...she believes that John Q Adams is a founding father...Obama does not believe there are 57 states. misspeaking, misspelling, reading a speech wrong...not the same as holding actual beliefs about something that is not correct.

John Quincy Adams in his retirement defended the African slaves who mutinied on the Dutch ship Amistad, a very controversial thing to do at the time. He was the son of a founding father, a decent man and good president. Again Ox, you bring up speech erors made by Obama that even his worst critics know were just speaking errors and that Obama actually knows were errors and knows the correct answers. Bachmann does not know her history nor has the knowledge to operate in the executive office. Dan Quayle literally could not spell and was known for his relative low IQ in both parties. If you are going to have an issue every time someone points out Bachmann or Palin's gaffs you may have to tune out every channel on your TV as even FOX reports them and both show no signs of getting any smarter. In an effort to aid you in your current plight, might I suggest the GOP start supporting intelligent candidates and quit going after the lowest common denominator.

thanks for proving that you did watch any clips or pay attention...She even talks about Adams's Dad in the same speech..she is 100% talking about John Q...and even states that he was only a young boy at the time and such....Put your head in the sand more why don't you...

As if mixing up by name long ago presidents were within light years of the significance of the harm done by a complete jackass who says "lets send 30,000 troops to afghanistan, er wait no, let's pull them out" or extends a recession for years harming hundreds of millions of people because he doesn't know anything about economics, or arrogantly stomps all over the constitution because he doesn't like what it says, or makes a fool out of himself in other countries, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
