The most important difference between Obamacare's mandate being a "tax" instead of a "penalty"?

If it had been honestly described as a tax, many of the Senators and Representatives who voted for it, wouldn't have. Most of them said straight out at the time, that if the program increased taxes, they would vote NO.

If the liberals had admitted it was a tax, Obamacare would never have passed in the first place.

exactly. and a rather regressive tax at that. and they are scrambling hard to deny it but Roberts was clear that this is the ONLY way it (the mandate) passed muster. the GOP must exploit this gift.

It's not just that Obamacare tax is a big lie, Obama also lied when he said that people under $200,000 wouldn't be affected. There are 21 taxes built into the healthcare act and 7 of those hit the poor and middle class. This wasn't about affordable healthcare. This is about money, and control of the private sector.

Oh, and surprise, surprise. A democrat congress person has already come out and said "now we need to unionize doctors". Funny how that works, being Obama has already exempted unions and his crony business friends from having to participate in his healthcare.
