Kevin Harpham is said to have been a member of The National Alience, ( founded by William Prince who wrote the Turner Diaries...known as a key part of the inspiration of Tim McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing. He had also talked about Joining the Aryan Nation.

But don't Forget some of you think the Nazis are liberal...so I am guessing you will say look a Liberal!

Because we know thats really who is in the Aryan Nation...Liberals right? Thats why Tim McVeigh blew up the OK city federal building in protest of waco and Ruby ridge...becuse he was Liberal?

Just for laughs I took a political typology test (that determines if one is conservative or liberal or whatever) as if I were Joseph Goebbels (it was the first Nazi name that came to mind). To prepare for the test I read a wiki article about Goebbels. I assumed that he favored strong government as a solution to problems, favored regulation, opposed immigration, was an anti-capitalist, opposed homosexuality, was mildly non religious, and was active in political affairs. I guessed about his stance on environmental issues and personal economics but chose weak answers, ie.e agree or do not agree rather than agree strongly or disagree strongly. I checked "lean democratic since the name of his party included the word democratic but I did not want to influence the results too much so I did not choose a stronger option.

Here are the results.

"Based on your answers to the questionnaire, you most closely resemble survey respondents within the Conservative Democrat typology group. This does not mean that you necessarily fit every group characteristic or agree with the group on all issues.

Conservative Democrats represent 14 percent of the American public, and 15 percent of registered voters.

Basic Description
Conservative Democrats’ religious orientation and conservative views on many social and political issues set this group apart from the other Democratic-leaning groups, Liberals and Disadvantaged Democrats. Conservative Democrats’ views are moderate with respect to key policy issues such as foreign policy, regulation of the environment and the role of government in providing a social safety net. Their neutrality on assistance to the poor is linked, at least in part, to their belief in personal responsibility.

Defining Values
Less extreme on moral beliefs than core Republican groups, but most oppose gay marriage and the acceptance of homosexuality, and support a more active role for government in protecting morality. No more conservative than the national average on other social issues such as abortion and stem-cell research. "

I suppose we could debate each question on the test for several high Nazi leaders and then take the test based on the results of debate for a more accurate result.

Though without the test I think this one statement would sum it up:

"In 1925, Goebbels published an open letter to "my friends of the left," urging unity between socialists and Nazis against the capitalists. "You and I," he wrote, "we are fighting one another although we are not really enemies."[19]"

But after meeting Hitler:

"Goebbels was bitterly disillusioned. "I feel devastated," he wrote. "What sort of Hitler? A reactionary?" He was horrified by Hitler’s characterization of socialism as "a Jewish creation", his declaration that the Soviet Union must be destroyed, and his assertion that private property would not be expropriated by a Nazi government. "I no longer fully believe in Hitler. That’s the terrible thing: my inner support has been taken away."[20]"

And then:

Hitler berated Goebbels over his support for the "socialist" line, but offered to "wipe the slate clean" if Goebbels would now accept his leadership. Goebbels capitulated completely, offering Hitler his total loyalty – a pledge that was clearly sincere, and that he adhered to until the end of his life. "I love him ... He has thought through everything," Goebbels wrote. "Such a sparkling mind can be my leader. I bow to the greater one, the political genius". Later he wrote: "Adolf Hitler, I love you because you are both great and simple at the same time. What one calls a genius.

So which Goebbels should take the test? Perhaps the second one should have.

Brilliant idea... Being one who is well versed on many ideologies, I would like to take the same test and see how it would turn out. So, if you could provide a link, that would be swell.

While you're awaiting the results of my experiment, I have a quiz you might like to try... No cheating (googling quotes), just try to pick the name of the person you think said it.

http://thepeoplescube.com/QuoteQuiz/index.php

I had made a post encouraging people to take the quiz but it flopped, I don't know that anyone took the quiz.

Name That Collectivist

For anyone that missed the opportunity before, this would be a fine time to take the quiz and post your results and/or comments in the thread above.

Nazis are Right wing, very far right wing,
Only to the Communists... You do realize that it was the Communists who labeled the Nazi's a Right Wing party, right?

The Nazi's saw American Capitalism and the Free Market system as a "very far right wing" political ideology and Communism as a 'very far left wing' ideology... Fascists all over the world ran on the political platform of Fascism being a blend of both extremes, a moderate, centrist, political ideology.

I don't equate nazis with Republicans...even though many of there ideas overlap.

Two things here...

1. Name all the areas where Nazi ideology overlaps with Democrat policy.
2. Name all the areas where Nazi ideology overlaps with Republican policy.
