After some 3000 posts, I'm out of here. :D When I first came here at the beginning of the year, this was a dying site with about one post a day. I knew that if I made many posts on current topics, people would find it by googling, and some life would come back to it, which it has. I am now ensconced in a different and very active political forum.

The owner of this site has the right to impose any rules he wants. Unfortunately, somebody somewhere sometime has to let obamabots know exactly what they are - and I'm the one to tell them. :D

In spite of the disaster for our country that was the recent election, I urge you to continue the good fight for our great republic in any way you can - on the net, by volunteering, with financial contributions. Although fighting liberalism can sometimes seem like stomping out hundreds of little brushfires, don't ever let their evil have a free ride - confront it at every opportunity.

Good luck on wherever the road may take you - on the net or in life.

That's all very funny!:D

There was nothing dying about this site when Libsmasher started posting in here. The country spoke... Libsmasher had his hat handed to him (again) and he left. That's all very simple...

As far as the Mods here, it's not their fault he lost either. They let everyone go back & forth pretty aggressively and try to only step in when things really repeatedly degenerate badly and there is NO Substance just 100% pure insults.

The facts as I recall them are Libsmasher constantly tried to bait the Mods by insulting someone HIMSELF and then IMMEDIATELY turning around and complaining to the refs about the poster HE himself had just insulted. It was a pretty darn shallow posting trick and of course they didn't fall for it.

All that said... Lib should stay because everyone deserves to be heard... but that's his choice. My guess is he doesn't want to be around as things start to work themselves out under an Obama administration. And if you have no intentions of trying to work together I guess that makes perfect sense.

Some may have noticed I didn't even post for a few weeks after the Obama win because it's very easy to fall into little more than gloating mode after a big win and when you'd like to see some type of national unity that's probably not extremely helpful.

With all due respect to my old friend Lib he is in one sense right.

It is time to, LEAD... FOLLOW... OR GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Go luck to you Lib...
;)

Libs has probably got himself "ensconced" in some right wingers only forum where they pat each other on the back and nobody challenges his extremist positions.

Well I hope they will be very happy together on the Angry Neo-Con Sour Grapes Forum... after every election they become a smaller group.:)

That's just called denial to your looooooooooooooosing ways... but go right ahead!:D

This is totally stupid!

When slavery was legal and people knew it was wrong and fought against it…. IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! Just because it was legal and what the majority did and wanted did not make it right.

Same thing for civil rights, it was a hard fight to get equal rights, it was not popular but it was worth fighting for.

Same thing for the right for women to vote

I do not deny that the majority of Americans want him and want his socialistic ways but I know it’s wrong and bad for the country and us as a people so ……..no! I will not be a mindless zombie for dreaming of the hope of the change. I will fight for what I know is right, that is not denial that is a strong conviction to follow my heart and what I know to be true.

When slavery was around, many people believed it was the RIGHT THING that the white man was better than the black man.

The analogy is wrong. It's not that you don't have every right to fight for things that are proven to be better. It's that when you go through times the are proven BAD and they are overturned... you then give the new ways a chance to be tried and see if they in fact are not better.

You've never gave anything Obama related even the most minuscule chance. The American people have obviously given a mandate to change from the direction you so thought was wonderful.

The guy's not even in office yet and he's like 150% more fair and on the ball & Presidential than what we've had to deal with in the last 8 years.

I expect the mostly groundless attacks from you on this man & his family because let's face it you've done nothing else from the time you picked your screen name... I'm just pointing out the unfair bias in your tone as in... "and laugh as i watch the messiah be lifted to god status"

No one can disagree that there have been times in history when things thought to be right or at least tolerated were later thought of in a different light.

But what we have here is a plan in policy & direction that has been so obviously. documented repeatedly wrong that the last not 1 but 2 election cycles has in majority numbers completely swept it away... and the change is now.

The correct analogy would be much more like... slavery (Bush)... abolish slavery (Obama).:)

I guess what I'm really saying is I see no virtue in the Republicans being pure and simple obstructionists to getting things done that so sorely need done just because they don't want the Democrats to appear to have achieved!

I have not given him a chance? Why should I? Would you also be mad at those who never gave President Kim Jong a chance? Or Prime Minister Pol Pot? What about President Saddam Hussein or President Vladimir Lenin? I am sure Stalin, Mao Tse Tung and Hitler all deserved a chance too huh? And they got them. Many mindless idiots supported them until they were too powerful and it was to late.

Some morons gave those guys chances, and some actually listened to what they said before they actually did their dirty deeds and knew better. I will be in that second group.

When I hear Obama say he wants a private military that is equally as strong and equally as funded as our Armed Forces, Oh and by the way the second amendment is not good and our constitution is just a bunch of negative laws. I know that is dangerous. When I hear him say casually that he intends to bankrupt Coal plants and is not worried about the price of gas going up, just how fast it happened, I know enough to be worried for what he can and will do to us. When I know that he has voted 4 times to let children OUTSIDE OF THE WOMB die because some wicked wench decided it was her “choice” I get nervous. The man has no value for human life, anyone like that is dangerous. I have every reason not to trust him; I have every reason to believe he will end up being like the other dictators in the world’s history. And you think I should give him a chance ?

I will pass
