Obama said Friday that Iran should promptly accept an international call to freeze its uranium enrichment program, which some nations see as a potential step toward obtaining nuclear weapons, and not wait for the next U.S. president.

The presidential candidate met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy in Paris, where they discussed Iran, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, climate change and other issues.

Sarkozy afterwords hailed the "very good news" of change in American politics and was quoted in the French media as saying "Obama? That's my buddy."

Isn't it a welcome change to have an American office holder welcomed with open arms, respected by the leaders of foreign countries and cheered by it's populace? Obama has done more good for America's global image in one trip than Bush has in 7 1/2 years. Imagine what a President Obama will do...once more we will looked up to as a repected world leader not a irresponsible arrogant bully.

Yeah - deposing dictators makes us an "arrogant bully". :D OF COURSE the euroweenies are kissing Obama's ass - he has a good chance to become president, and after hearing all his crapola about "the world", they are probably drooling over their prospects of manipulating the unqualified tyro to advance their interests at the expense of the US.

Thanks for posting that great news Popeye! I was a little worried about Sarkozy because he is a sort of a rightie, but even a rightie by European standards can see that Obama is going to be a US president for the world as well as his country. It's no exaggeration that he has done more for the Us image abroad than Bush has done in 7 1/2 years. Actually nobody is unaware that Bush took the US drastically the other way.

But of course the rabid right freak show at Fox News is already spewing their hate toward Obama and saying he's appeasing the socialist hordes, blah, blah.

Hateful and spiteful pigs they are.

I guess Americans will have to give up french fries again for a while. Only this time Americans please, don't empty the French Champagne down the drains. I'll pay 50% on all bottles you want to sell me.
