So let me get this strait...Obama is a commie trying to make the US like France...but yet is the Same as Bush....but the Right supported Bush....but Obama is a extreme lefty.....But they are the same....

Bingo!!! the same problem I have been running into constantly... the dividing line between repubs and demos is fastly erodding...

it appears as if both parties are becoming disillusioned to what their real princples were in the beginning

Honestly shouldn't we be more concerned that regardless if the bail-outs or stimulus works or not that we face kind of a large problem with inflation and run-away taxes in the next decade?!?! I still find it hard to swallow that the 2% of wage earners will be paying for the entire 1 trillion dollars spent on this budget above last years. Not to mention the bail-out money.

They will not nor are they now. All the rest of us are already paying for it in the form of the hidden tax of inflation as a direct result of Obama policies and the printing of money. This is the most insidious tax as no one voted for it, most people don't even know it is happening, and it hurts the poor the most.

yes Bush and Obama are the same...you just keep going with that...I guess Bush was a commie to then right pushing us to be like Cuba....And since McCain and the Republicans backed him for 8 years...guess that makes the Republican party all commies as well.

First, if you think McCain backed Bush, that's not even remotely true. McCain bucked the republicans, and specifically Bush many times. But always on the side of the Democrats.

Republicans backed Bush for one simple reason... he was better than the alternatives. I agree with this. Although, I'm not sure I'll be following that theory much longer.

Bush started out with many good conservative ideals. Like reforming Social Security. Like cutting down on government intervention. Like cutting taxes.

These were good conservative ideals that we supported.

Unfortunately, Bush didn't stay on that path very long. He expanded government hand outs, tried to pass amnesty, backed hydrogen scams, bailed out banks, and a few other liberal ideals which have all failed in the past, and are failing as we speak.

So is Obama a commie? Not quite. He's a socialist. Is Bush like Obama? Or Obama like Bush?

I don't think Bush intended to be socialist. He clearly ended up that way. Obama, on the other hand, fully intends to be socialist. He's taking over companies, blowing trillions we don't have, and I think this is the start. When Castro and Hugo Chavez are cheering on Obama, that's a pretty good clue about what the future holds.

The point of this thread is to detail how silly the theory is that Obama is SOOOO much different. He's everything Bush did, only worse by the power of 10.
