Obama trying to bypass seperation of powers again

The link did not work but the quote you provided indicates that he is trying to stay within the bounds of the administrative branch.

When not even the spendthrift Congress will back Obama's spending plans, his credit card has been cancelled, and not a moment too soon.

He won't get too far trying to bypass Congress, not if the American people are paying any attention at all to what is going on.

It's too bad the federal MasterCard wasn't cancelled years ago.

The link works now.

OK, he wants to increase spending in any way he can. He is desperate to increase spending - the question is why. We will be told that he wants to dig us out of this recession and help the little guy. IMO, this kind of spending will do neither but what it will do is advance statism.

Yes he does but it takes Congress to do so. But as FDR's treasury sec noted, it does not work. Of course you may have the real point tapped with the advancement of socialism idea.

Obama knows that the Congress isn't going to go along with his "jobs" bill. The feds are broke, and even the Congress has begun to wake up to that fact.

I think what he's trying to do is create an issue for the campaign. He and his handlers want to be able to say t hat they could have turned the economy around if only Congress had backed him, or something very similar.

I'm pretty sure Obama knows what is in the Constitution, given his background.

Yes, his campaign has not concealed his intent here though the idea of throwing Congress under the bus is a losing game in my opinion.

Hmmm so he does know but is ignoring it intentionally..... Stranger things have happened.

Didn't Obama teach Constitutional law at one time?

I'm not so sure that throwing Congress under the bus is such a bad political strategy. Voter approval of that particular entity is somewhere between the scales on a snake's belly and the dirt under a well digger's boots.

I heard he lectured on it some. Doesn't appear that he absorbed anything from his prep,

bad for the brand. and given the specific nature of the disapproval, abandoning the brand hurts them both.
