    Obamacare provision will allow 'forced' home inspections

    Under Obamacare, government agents can engage in "home health visits" for those in certain “high-risk” categories.

    Those categories include: (but not limited to)
    • Families where mom is not yet 21;
    • Families where someone is a tobacco user;
    • Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities, and
    • Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States.
    According to HHS, the visits fall under what is called the "Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program" allegedly designed to “help parents and children,” and could impact millions of Americans.

    Right? Can't say I'm surprised either. It's funny, when I said we should expect "home health workers" to start showing up, people called me a conspiracy theorist.

    The categories are ... interesting. They sound very discriminatory.

    They should start inspecting the homes in Baltimore. Maybe we could figure out why so many kids aren't showing up in class, and doing so poorly.

    I don't think they should start inspecting homes anywhere, unless they have probable cause. Then, if they can present that cause and get a judge to sign a warrant then we'll talk. This is still supposed to be a free country. The Constitution does not provide for a nanny state.

    Huh? I'm not sure what you're on about.

    You don't have a problem with people coming to your door without probable cause? See, there is this thing called the Constitution that protects us (or is supposed to) from unwarranted governmental intrusion.

    yes I know, and it had nothing to do with health ....it was trying to stop abortion clinics from being open. Don't pretend it was anything else.
