Olympians tour the cities of Australia.

Yesterday the Australian Olympic Team visited Melbourne to sign Autographs and show their medals.

thats actually nice. I'm sure ours go only where their sponsorship agreements require.

Dogtower, Although some of our Olympians had sponsor there was no mention of sponsors at these meeting. The government ministers were present but thy also received a lot of government money.

a significant difference between Australia and here. hope you can retain some semblance of real sports.

by the way. remember the tie with RSA in the cricket world cup a few years back ? now that was something to behold.

Big Business does sponsor some Olympians but not all. They do not sponsor the Paralympians yet they are forced to wear sporting wear with their logoes. A handful Of Australians will be taping some of the logos of the multinational sporting companies on their running shoes and other racing apparel . those being blacked out are the once that failed to support our Paralympians.

Even in Cricket shortly after the tie test, a TV station bought out several of the players to get the right to televise future tests. This is the same station that televise the Olympic Games but not the Paralympians Games.
