clinton may have done a lot of bad things, but to say that the impeachment was legitimate is moralistic bs.

You may want to consider something very important that you appear to be missing here.

Clinton stood before the people of the US and said, I quote;

Now, I have to go back to work on my State of the Union speech. And I worked on it until pretty late last night. But I want to say one thing to the American people. I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again: I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time; never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people. Thank you.

Now whether the actual impeachment consisted of moralistic bull**** or not, the fact remains that this man stood before his people and blatantly, also very convincingly lied.

One has to consider this; if he was able to blatantly lie to the populace of the US over a personal, albeit moral issue to get himself out of a huge hole, then how can one be convinced that all the other investigations into crooked business matters relating to the Clintons, that do have great relevance; that he also convincingly assured everyone at the time were also completely unfounded?

It is very disingenuous of Democratic partisans to use a series of Bush Admin lies and manipulations as a political tool, but at the same time ignore Clintons proven lie as an irrelevance. A lie is a lie is a lie.

Number of individuals and businesses associated with the Clintons, who have been convicted of or pleaded guilty to crimes: 47
Number of these convictions during Clinton's presidency: 33
Number of indictments/misdemeanor charges: 61
Number of congressional witnesses who have pleaded the Fifth Amendment, of fled the country to avoid testifying, or (in the case of foreign witnesses) refused to be interviewed: 122!

The so-called "witch hunt" turned up 47 "witches" then, with another 122 "witches" running for the hills, while 61 little "witches" had minor crimes. Never seen a witch hunt turn up so many.

And what crimes were the Clinton "witches" convicted of?

And the CLINTONS were convicted or even charged with how many of those my friend????????? That would be NONE.

That's why they call it a WITCH HUNT! Republicans went around trying to tie the CLINTONS to anything. Which of course they never could. They just wasted MILLIONS of our tax dollars. That's just the truth.

I have no problem at all going after anyone that has been involved in breaking the LAW. However what the REPUBLICANS did was seek out law breakers and then try to smear the Clintons by association... and that is wrong.

Hey the Republicans are MASTER "Swift Boaters". Doesn't make them good people. In fact it reflects very badly on them because it's now ALWAYS in the back of everybody's mind... Is this just another Republican lynching mob! And usually it comes out that the answer is... yes, yes it is!

Where did he go? He didn't run for re-election because the whole entire time he was chasing & chastising Bill Clinton for having an affair... HE NEWT GINGRICH was himself cheating on his wife, boinking his secretary, which he then dumped his wife for and married.

last post you said the problem with the impeachment was that the "witch hunt" that turned up the affair was unjust. no obamanation just proved that the investigations were justified. Now you're complaining that he was impeached for something that to you seems innocent and are conviently ignoring the fact that lying in court is ILLEGAL. If he thought what he did was all that innocent, he would have just said it happened... He obviously felt guilty and instead of taking the moral high road, he lied about it. You keep harping on this National Security Clearance as if that is some big deal. Every Senator will have one, and Palin will easily get one as well if elected (assuming she does not already have one).

Thousands of people have them, it is really not that big of a deal, and certainly not a qualifier for President.
