Well, lookee here...stealing clothes wasn't good enough for Gov. Bimbo.. She wrongly charged the state, at a rate of $60 a day, for over 300 nights she spent in her Wasilla home. Once a hillbilly always a hillbilly.

    Wow.

The desperate liberals are apparently terrified of Sarah Palin. She's not even running for anything or being appointed to anything... yet they are digging for every bit of slime they can find, in hopes they can make her look bad.

Just as Hillary began her 2008 Presidential campaign in November 2004, the leftists are beginning their 2012 hate-Palin campaign in June 2008, and pounding it continuously through 2012.

Was Palin told years ago, that she would have to pay taxes on that per diem, as Giethner was? No.

Nice try, lefties. Better luck next time.

Personally I think Palin's looks are vastly overrated. If you compare her to other female politicians, she's all right..but you're dealing with a small pool of almost exclusively elderly women.

Put Palin in against the female population as a whole and she's no better than average. You right wing viagra filled jerks need to adjust your glasses.

Did she know she owed these taxes and still refuse to pay for years like Tom Daschle and Timothy Geitner?

or did she just find out that she needs to pay these taxes because someone just told her?

If she is a snake in the grass like Tom Daschle, Timothy Geitner are, trying to raise your taxes while they wont pay thier own unless someone gives them a job they want then have at her.

If a judge just said recently you need to pay taxes on this because we just decided its taxable, you should spend more time defending egg head cuz he needs it :)

I think there was always some contention about whether she was entitled to a per deim for expenses incurred in Wasilla and not Juneau.

But it was a recent judgement and not back taxes, per se.

why don't you worry about all those loser that your president hired for his cabinet. They willingly refused to pay taxes, yet when they knew they were getting a bone from Obama they decided to pay those back taxes.

They can only be associated with mobsters like Al Capone.... After all isn't your president from Chicago... LOL mOBSTERS...

funny how all the same who ranted about Obama people not paying taxes correctly,....dont care at all now...

fact is taxes for people doing what they do, are not easy and people are bount to screw up. I know I have screwed up one mine once and mine did not even have that much to do at the time.

For Palin, it was not a tax issue until the court just ruled on it.

For Daschle, Geithner, Emanuel, et al, it was a non-payment of taxes due, in some cases for years on end, when there was no contention or gray area about the taxability of the activity.

Im going to make several posts here, but a few things, Popeye, as much as you might not like Palin, calling her Governor Bimbo on this forum is frowned upon. Please figure out something else to refer to her in the future.

Secondly, here is a much better story from the local source that broke the story and I think should be credited with such. It also details some information towards the bottom about new Alaska Senator Begich(d) who also owes some back taxes.

she took money for travel...for staying in her home....and did not pay taxes on it...the fact a court told her she had to, does not change the fact she should
    1. have paid taxes on it in the first place
    2. not been getting the money anyway.

You are wrong here, she is still the Governor of Alaska. My home state, and she should be accountable to Alaskans.
When Alaska is facing a budget shortfall as we are right now, the Governor should be taking the lead in cost cutting measures. While I dont have a huge issue with her drawing per diem when allowed by State law, I do question why Alaska pays for the travel expenses of her children throughout the state with Sarah.
