Reasons Id rather be American than Whatever you are !
1. USA is the Richest country on the face of the planet.
2. USA is the Most powerful country on the face of the planet, so powerful that it is even in UN law, that the President of the USA cannot be tried for war crimes, because it makes no sense to try to arrest him, because you will lose the grassroots war that we will put up, and when you lose, you will NEVER AGAIN get back up.
:)
3. USA is only one of two countries with a manned space program, and of those two, the USA is by far the leader.
4. USA is the only country with the brains to pass responsible laws in regards to drugs and alcohol.
If you're under 21, intoxicants don't belong in your hands, because your brain isn't fully developed until about that age.
So the USA actually has science behind our drinking laws.
5.The USA is the only country in the world, that having a job is a necessity, in order to afford a life, thereby we have the highest percentage of the population in the workforce, thereby we are the most productive, and the most independent, regardless of the current state of the economy.
6. Every generation that grew up pampered, becomes an adult with a whole lot to learn, from the school of hard knocks.
Such Generations, as Generation Y.
The USA is the only country with the brains to teach people a lesson when they need it.
Whether it be Jail, Poverty, Not being able to get a job for a while, Being Sued, Being Fined, whatever.

Since Obama became President, I'm rethinking this.

If this is the trend and our future, then I want out. I don't want to be ruled by a dictatorial government.

Uhm ... Not Exactly! Qatar is the richest Country. The US falls in number 6 out of the top 10 and that is sure to go down under the Obama Regime.

Obama has proposed deep cuts in the US Nuclear arsenals. Other countries have lost all respect for the US under the Obama regime .... and, I really have no clue what your talking about with all that UN nonsense.

Obama has allowed marijuana to become legal in two states already and there will surely be more states legalizing it in the future? Again, not real sure what your talking about here.

92 Million Americans are out of work as a result of Obama's policies .... What the hell are you talking about?

6. Every generation that grew up pampered, becomes an adult with a whole lot to learn, from the school of hard knocks.
Every generation is pampered?

WTH .... sorry Tradewinds .... I have no clue what you are getting at here.

Anyway .... welcome aboard.

Yes all nations don't respect our Military...because we can only blow up the world 5 times over rather then 6..?
try again

Also take a while guess and how many jobs created under Bush...now Under Obama...hint Obama is way higher...and Bush at zero...Econ tanked under him,. job losses happened under him...take your credit for your failed policys

If you think blowing up the world is a good thing then that probably says everything we need to know about you

Especially as it would make you a suicide bomber

Which would fit with the religious fundamentalism of the right

And I know you don't like facts but bush oversaw the biggest meltdown in the US economy of all time

Just a tad short of reality, don't you think? Go back and recompute your job loss statistics ... factor in how many of those are part-time jobs ... then, look at the number of people who have opted out of the employment pictures. Perhaps you can explain why, after five years of the current regime, the percentage of people active in the work force, is lower than it has been in history -- to include during the years of the Great Depression. (Damn facts... they sure are inconvenient, aren't they?)

Wait ... let me guess .. it's Bush's fault, right? Gotcha.

"
Under Bush, private employment shrank by 673,000 jobs, federal employment grew by 50,000 jobs, and government employment grew by 1,753,000 jobs.

Yes Facts are inconvenient
Under Obama, the private sector has shed some 2.9 million jobs while the federal government has grown by 40,000 (after growing massively, the federal workforce shrank throughout the summer). Total government jobs, however, shrank by 357,000 jobs, mainly because of cuts at the state and local levels."

Also while work force participation is low, and to low...it is not even close to lowest in history, But feel free to just make things up. As for why...well for one, The Government has been laying of workers for years, not hiring workers ( like Republicans always did when the economy was poor...) and the Private sector as been hording record profits but not spending them on hiring workers...The Economy had alot of growth in the last qt, witch is nice, but even better knowing how much better it would have been with no goverment shut down. As Federal spending dropped alot hurting the gains maid.

But Yes Bush does take some of the blame...as most people who lost jobs, did so Under Bush...or right after he left office and before Obama was able to put anything in motion to stop the job losses. republicans love to cry about blaming Bush...but maybe if they would own up to the facts that this whole economy did not tank Under Obama , it went down under Bush...And things where getting better..but then Republicans started blocking evry bill to create jobs...because they are children

Just a tad short of reality, don't you think?

Do you, or do you not, agree that a lesser percentage of the available workforce is employed today? In fact, wouldn't you agree that the labor participation rate is the lowest in 30 years? Do you not also agree that the job growth during the Obama administration has not even kept up with the growth of the available labor pool?

Might I also suggest that you have tried to mislead the reader by claiming that federal employment is down ... I will agree that federal employees has not grown ... however, you failed to note that virtually all of those are due to the cuts in the military, and, in fact, the number of civilian government workers has continued to grow. In addition, you failed to consider the increase in contract employees working for the government - doing work that federal employees would normally be doing. I offer:

“It’s obscene that we’re focusing today on the 2.5 million employees of the federal government, while completely ignoring the 10.5 million contractors … that work for this government,” said Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.), the subcommittee’s ranking member. “If we’re serious about reducing costs, we need to look at the contractor community.”

and:

" ... review of DoD service contracting budget and spending data found that contractor employees cost 2.94 times more than an average DoD civilian employee performing the same job. In fact, although the number of employees in both workforces is relatively balanced, spending on the workforces is not: DoD service contracts cost $253.8 billion and DoD’s civilian workforce cost $72 billion (base) or $108 (base plus overhead) in FY 2010."

No matter how many times you shuffle the cups, the pea still ISN'T under any of them. You are taking a single statistic, and trying to whitewash the much larger picture ... which, frankly, is being intellectually dishonest.

First Military jobs are Federal Jobs...Cuts are cuts...And alot of goverment jobs lost where state level due to lack of funding, like teachers...But you know who cares, Republicans don't like teachers ..

When the Economy Tanked Under Reagan....the goverment hired more people.
Bush W increased the Federal workforce as well..
Obama has watched it go down...
Obama has pushed any jobs bills...Republicans have passed zero..they tried to repeal Obama care 45 times or so, keep banning funds from Going to Acorn ( who does not exist anymore) but have passed no jobs bills.
The Stimulus that was passed without Republicans for the most part, added jobs...We wen from Lossing jobs that started Under W ( who I know you hate to admit was in office when the jobs market tanked with the economy)
And we started adding jobs soon after...not lossing them. Its going to take a long time to get back. It would go faster if Republicans where gone though.

republican plans of cutting spending = less jobs...not more jobs.
The time to cut spending is when the Economy is going well and the private sector is spending...Not when Buisness are not spending, consumers are not spending...leaving only one left...the goverment...so when it reduces spending...the economy can only shrink...meaning less jobs...so then you have to cut more...and more...and less and less jobs...as no one is still spending.

You want more jobs...vote for a Democrat. And Obams gains are now much higher as this is 2 years old. Still not what we need, and even Obama has said we need more..But as soon as you people are out of the way....

You didn't even bother to read what I wrote, did you? Government labor costs increased, due to the increase of contractors to expand the government power base, under Obama ... it's just as simple as that. More jobs were shifted to contractors, thus creating this picture that they have less government employees.

Then .. this nonsense ... and that's exactly what it is ... about 'we went from losing jobs to creating jobs' - ignores reality. How many jobs 'created' were part-time jobs? Why are those jobs counted the same as full time jobs? (A cute accounting trick, you must admit) If I have two part-time jobs, then I count as two people employed. How many full-time positions were sliced up into two part-time positions because of onerous Democrat tax and healthcare policies? (Think positively - cutting a full time job into two part-time jobs means Obama gets to take credit for 'creating' a job!!)

We haven't even created enough jobs ... part-time included .. to keep up with the additions to the labor pool. Why is the labor participation rate the lowest since Johnson was president?

Dems create jobs? Surely, you jest ... CBO report released this week says that Obamacare will cost 2.4 million FULL TIME jobs by 2021.

"Obama has pushed any jobs bills...Republicans have passed zero.." Oh? Since the Republicans CAN'T pass any (they're the minority party, remember?), how many did you expect them to pass? How many have Democrats passed?

How many jobs bills did the Republican-controlled House send to the Democrat-controlled Senate in the past 5 years? I'll save you the research - 14. How many of those 14 were discussed in the Senate? None ... why? Dems stopped them from being considered. Now that you have the facts ... ask yourself who is responsible.

I notice that you give some kind of validity to this observation that Reagan and Bush increased the government employee base ... as if that is some kind of sign of something. What you fail to tell everybody is that both presidents followed Democratic presidents who gutted the military in order to fund their social programs. Obviously, Reagan and Bush took national security more seriously than their predecessors. Once again, a favorite liberal trick ... take a single fact, distort it, quote it out of context, ignore the reality of that time, and somehow declare that it signals something, and expect this fabrication to go unchallenged.

Not any more.
