Reagan never signed a Universal Health Care scheme into law, as Romney did in Massachusetts.
When Romney takes office, conservatives will have to keep a VERY sharp eye on him, and harangue him long and hard if he even LOOKS like reneging on his promises to issue waivers to all 50 states for Obamacare immediately, and then work for its repeal (he knows and we know that a president can't unilaterally repeal an act of Congress).
Keep in mind that it wasn't that long ago that Republicans, including the boss, were merrily spending almost as much as Democrats are doing now. Republicans are very much on probation, again including the boss, for the next four years. They will unquestionably do better then Obama, Pelosi, and Reid... but that's not all we need from them. They must do the things they were elected for: Cutting spending (not just reducing the rate of increase), keeping taxes low and lower, rebuilding the military, and making this nation strong enough to be respected again. Obama showed that weakness and appeasement fail to accomplish that.
